Not sheriff serious.
How someone that stupid got to be that old is beyond me.
Spurs have choked? When was that? I don't seem to remember any such incidents, though I did have a nightmare once about the number 6.
Use all the asterisks you want. A le is a le.
This, tbh. IDGAF, I want the easiest possible path to a le.
Folks can all they want when we're holding another Larry.
man you know it'd be that much sweeter if we walked all over OKC on our way to the le
It looks like he spelled "Loco" in cursive. It's upside-down though.
You better hope the Spurs don't face OK City since they can't seem to beat them this year. You better hope the Spurs get the easiest path possible because we all know they are not really all that good in the playoffs as compared to the regular season that they can take on anyone and win.
Some people on this board really confuse me. I get that not all fans are the same; some are overly optimistic even when things look bleak, and others are overly pessimistic even when things look great. But some people on this board almost sound like they want the Spurs to fail. It honestly sounds like they're hoping the Spurs fall short so they can say "See! I told you I was right!"
Maybe they're just trolling. Maybe they're just setting the bar low so they won't be disappointed regardless of what happens. All I know is that it's pretty amazing that some fans could be so unenthused with a team that looks so promising. And anyone who watched the Spurs in 2011 and this year should realize this team is completely different. Compare the roster from 2011 with this year's roster and it's not hard to see the improvement. , look no further than the fact that we're not giving Bonner serious minutes anymore.
I'm not guaranteeing #5 or anything, but , this team looks better than any team we've had since 2007. I think we have just as good of a shot as anyone to make it out of the West and stop Miami from 3-peating. All we have to do now is hope for everyone to stay healthy and show up come playoff time.
Our defense is not good and our offense stalls when our ball movement isn't on point. We could very easily lose in the 2nd round. Our lack of iso talent really shows in the half court. We have almost no one who can at least draw fouls consistently. Let's hope Kawhi can bring the goods in the playoffs.
Not false, we may be ranked 3rd or whatever but our defense is anywhere from good, especially our 3 ball defense.
Not going to waste my time on this inane point with you. SA's defense is solid whether you admit it or not.
Continue robdiaz'ing, tho![]()
It's not terrible but it's far from great.
Ranked that high, it's as close to great as it's going to get with the type of offense we run.
I'm NOT saying this team is a reprise of the '99 Spurs or reminiscent of the Bowen-era defenses, but it's FAR from "not good."
Much closer to "great" than "not good," tbh. Come on now.
In some alternate universe, everything is exactly the same except the Spurs won the le last season. In that universe's Spurstalk, it's one constant slurpfest on the main board.
A quick check of betting sites shows the Spurs as a 3:2 or 8:5 favorite to win the West, and the second-most likely team to win the le (3:1 or 7:2) behind Miami (2:1). The pessimists here are either just trolls or are still feeling championship blue balls from last season.
Known locally as rascals.
we don't have a 3ball defense. parker, bellinelli, and green just leave shooters open and sit in the lane.
Spurs rank 10th in the league in terms of opponent 3-point shooting percentage. Ahead of OKC and Miami, and tied with Chicago (2nd best defense in the league) fwiw.
i think phx would be a tougher matchup than dal for okc.
the suns really aren't afraid to get out there on the thunder.
Dallas is good for one or two games but they fold way to easy.
You're welcome
