btw you severely underrate Paulus imho

I used to underrate him I admit, thinking him as an idiot, but really he wasn't. Dude was extremely smart, as my Guderian said "(paulus was) brilliantly clever, conscientious, hard working, original and talented" but he also doubted his decisiveness, toughness and lack of command experience. I think Paulus could be a perfect choice for the position of Chief of Staff (Paulus once served as Guderian's chief of staff and they had great chemistry together), but Paulus was obviously the wrong material to make a commander of imho, he hadn't ever commanded even a regiment before assuming the position as the commander of the Sixth Army. Paulus was a brilliant military strategist but not a complete militarist, and it was the Fuhrer's fault to use him in the wrong place imho.
