Mavs are a 49-win 8 seed. In quality they're more like a 6th seed, but the West is so tough that they were the last team in. What has surprised me is that it hasn't really been that even, the Mavs have won 6.5 of the 8 quarters played. I was of the opinion coming into the series that we would be lucky to not get swept.

DPG dropping truth bombs and saying what I've been thinking all night. Of course this is not new and almost exactly how OKC beats us. Anyone notice how we also have a load of turnovers against the Thunder?

The concern is that already in the first round, RC has laid a pretty impressive blue print on how to stifle the Spurs and their strategy. Mavs aren't even a good defensive team, but with their game plan even they can make it tough. Spurs can and should adjust and have enough to beat them, but the concern is better defensive teams can probably utilize this strategy and have better results because of their defensive prowess.
THIS. Plus keeping Kawhi in foul trouble usually results in a Spurs loss. I hope the team finds a way to adjust

Man the Spurs beat themselves not only by the turnovers but not trying anything new as far as strategy for game 2. Lets see if COTY uses his big ass brain to change things up. The silver lining of the loss is that the team will take a long and hard look at what they need to change in order to win. Spurs are pretty good coming off losses. That's something us fans can always fall back on. But well see what happens. You can bet Dallas crowd will be a whole lot louder than our sorry as att center crowd. It's a playoff game for christ sakes! Spoiled ass fans!

Unfortunately only one team played hard tonight, damnit.
Except Manu was the only one to play hard for the Spurs! No-one else showed up!
