Big superquick guards bedevil the spurs. Monta is that, other teams have great guards but monta and westbrook are different types of big and quick.
Then add a calderon with a hot hand...

Kawai was a monster on D and letting the offense come to him. The focus was finally there.
I know. Pop said the same after last Heat-Spurs RS game "He's starting to feel confident in his role and taking pride in being a defender and rebounder first, then letting his offense come naturally and not thinking about it too much."

But, at this point -after a season where he didn't increase Leonard's minutes or his offensive presence on the playbook- I'm not sure if Pop really think that Leonard can contribute a lot to Spurs offense.

I'm afraid that it'll be extremely difficult for Kawhi to try adjust his game to the Spurs offensive system in playoffs when Pop just considers the kid on one end of the court.

Not exploit Ellis matchup on the post significantly, only 6-7 touches, not involve him early in the game, not play him more minutes like Butler, Batum, and other SF are playing in playoffs -even Iguodala 30 years old, played more minutes than Kawhi last game-

Why a guy -22 years old- who can make this sequence of plays -in the previous vids-, can't play 45 minutes in a close playoffs game?

You are correct, the Warriors seemed to give the Spurs alot more trouble last year than the Grizz and Lakers who were bigger slower type teams (With Kobe out), they did not match up well with the Wings and that is a problem and Ellis is one of those type. Miami as well, not a big slower team but has wings that can give you fits and Lebron on top of that. Thats the Spurs trouble there, quicker guards. I see what you mean.

the whole play is what was largely missing from the first 3 games. that energy, tenacity, and focus at that level intensity is what we need from every game from here out.

It was also missing during Dallas' comeback
