Heat in 6
I'm going for the upset, Pacers in 7.
This will result in the ratings bonanza of a Pacers-Spurs finals.![]()
The extent to which Indiana has been given the benefit of the doubt, despite stinking it up against a sub 500 Hawks team and an inexperienced Wizards team is unprecedented and can only be attributed to Heat-hate.
Hibbert was smiling like kid after one decent game, when he was posting 0-0 and 5 fouls for the better part of the series.
Lance is doing Lance things and Paul George isn't in the class of James or KD.
David West is the only dude doing things.
This is the team that's gonna take down the Heat?![]()
Heat in 5.... Miami will blatantly coast one game, causing the haters to get their hopes up, but will close this out quickly....
man, that post game speech from coach vogel gave me goose bumps, they are ready to rock and roll, you can sense unity again in that locker room. i hope miami wins since i want to see lebron and durant again but can't deny indiana is taking this series
Pacers won't win this series due to the simple fact that they don't score enough points. You won't beat Miami by grinding it out. Even Dallas was barley hanging on in 2011 with that style the first 4 games. Things changed when the Mavs started hitting their open shots in game 5. Dallas was able to limit Miami and then score on them after that. You have to do both and do them well throughout the game/series. Indiana lacks that.
Miami should ing sweep the Pacers, no questions asked. Anything less would be disappointing. Then again, they aren't as good as the last 2 years, so who knows.
It seems to me that Indy has pretty much geared their entire season to be right where they currently are tbh. They're such a weird team to predict and have looked very shaky the first two rounds but I don't think a lack of focus/intensity will be an issue for them when they play Miami.
Miami should undoubtedly be the favorites but I think it's gonna be a closer series than people are predicting. My head says Miami in 6 but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Pacers in 7.
The Pacers are salty enough to push it to 6 but that's it.
If Indiana are absolutely serious about getting over the Heat this year, its all about game 1 and 2. If they don't win both games at home they're done. Remember, they have home-court advantage.
Not until they actually lose a series imo. You coulda even said they were coasting until 28 seconds left of game 6 tbh
How does a team that averaged less than 92 points this postseason even compete with the Heat?
The Pacers are so bad, it's a testament to how bad the east is that they're in the ecf
A lot of people are going to on ESPN if Indy pulls off the upset.
I have said earlier that Indiana is a team you have to step on and not given them any chance of hope. The Hawks failed to do that in the first round when they lost game 4 and 6. The Wizards did the same when they dropped both home games. Miami has to go up 3-1 on the Pacers to put the death grip on them. If this series is tied 2-2 the Pacers will win. Their resiliency reminds me a lot like the '04 Pistons.
This series could honestly go either way. It all depends on how well Hibbert and George perform on the offensive end. If they do what they did last year in the ECF, Indy could pull it out in 7. They have the perfect front court with Hibbert-West-George. If those 3 give you 15-20 points a game each, they SHOULD prevail, but something tells me that George will be underwhelming and Hibbert will have at least 2 games where he's a total non-factor. Heat in 6.
With all 17 ESPN "experts" picking the Heat, Pacers actually have a chance.
No clue about this one. I dont think anyone can really be too sure how the series will transpire.
At the start of the season I thought Indy finally put together a team that could take the whole thing. However, after their mid-year implosion, I don't know what to expect from those guys. Hibbert is so up-and-down these days that I never know who's going to show up. Bird must be pulling his hair out.
For the 8 people who picked Indiana, how do you see them winning the series? Does LeBron have unprotected sex with Magic and contract the AIDS? Does a hurricane wipe out Miami and all 7 games have to be played in Indiana? Do Wade and LeBron have a Wesley and Phills car race outside the practice facility? Does RC trade Kawhi back to them mid-series?
Lance Stephenson on his strategy against Dwyane Wade: "I think his knee is kind of messed up so I got to be extra aggressive and make him run… make his knee flare up."![]()
