And Bonner was a major part of the rotation. I'll repeat...Bonner...yes...Bonner...was a major part of the rotation.

Not at all. Two complete obliterations with no hope in sight for the Thunder. After the first 10 minutes of a game, Durant just looks like another face out there. Things will change big time in Oklahoma but I don't think this will be anything like 2012. I think Spurs will win a tooth and nail battle in game 3 but they'll win nonetheless

San Antonio invited OKC to a Texas BBQ, they just forgot to mention that OKC was the main course.

Sef on Parker was the big move in 2012 at the end of the 3rd in game 2. There is not that ki.d of adjustment to be made this year.

OKC of 2014 without Ibaka is nothing like 2012 with Ibaka AND Harden.

No, it absolutely feels nothing like 2012. This team is better, more experienced and more focused. Not even close.

Leonard is worlds better Splitter didn't even play much this is nothing like 2012. You can expect this every game.
Yeah, pretty much...even with Ibaka, the Thunder weren't winning this series. No Ibaka and no Harden = no chance for OKC. 5 games, max.

+51 in two victories sounds quite a bit different.

I agree with your first part, but ya, like you said, no Harden and no Ibaka..

Both Harden and Ibaka were much more valuable against the Spurs than Westbrook.. Westbrook's style of play just doesn't work against the Spurs, he's so hit or miss..

I believe this is a more mature Spurs team with better cohesion, too..the confidence displayed by Green and Splitter, in particular, is such a difference maker..
pretty much all this. not to mention it took a rigged game 6 to get the matchup the NBA wanted, Lebron vs Durant, since it was a lockout year and they lost money.

most importantly Spurs are more cohesive and battle hardened. the memories of 2012 and 2013 are still fresh and Spurs have the right mindset.

Also, this OKC team is at the end of the line, compared to the hungry 2012 team that looked like they were going to own the West for the next 5+ years..

Harden trade + Durant and Westbrook are nearing the ends of their contracts + good chance that Scott Brooks is finally fired after this series..
I pray Brooks is never fired. Just want him to keep doing what he's doing...which is not much apparently.

OP is cliff-jumping even after taking a commanding 2-0 lead in dominating fashion

I think if it weren't for the 20-game winning streak two years ago going into OKC, I think the perspective of the series would've been a lot different after the Spurs took the 2-0 lead.

    It's nothing like 2012.

Danny Green and Tiago Splitter are playing well, unlike 2012 when they were no shows against OKC.

Spurs also looked like a juggernaut in 2012, and looked absolutely unbeatable after going up 2-0 on the Thunder. Many analysts had already written that the Spurs were clearly the best team in basketball. Look how that turned out. The same thing is happening this year.

The difference? No Ibaka and Harden.
Wrong. The spurs needed a crazy comeback to win one of those games and there were very troubling signs for game 1 and 2. We did not just steam roll them.
