It is for true Beatle Fans.
It's not.
It is for true Beatle Fans.
Actually, I'm a true Beatles fan and even I don't think it was. I read what John and Ringo said about it...so I believe them.
I want to see Julian's drawing before I believe that.
What I mean is that people my age believe it even if it is not actual fact.
And John may have been trippin' when he said what he did.
I think this was it...I want to see Julian's drawing before I believe that.

He just named some famous songs that were influenced by drugs.....it's easy to overestimate the influence of drugs on the Beatles' music."
Sometimes I get high with a little help from my friends.
I knew you were gonna come back with that Paul McCartney bull . He's so full of crap. He says that now...but he also said this.
"I showed up at John's house and he had a drawing that Julian had done at school with the le 'Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds' above it. Then we went up to his music room and wrote the song, swapping psychedelic suggestions as we went. I remember coming up with the 'cellophane flowers' and 'newspaper taxis' and John answered with things like 'kaleidoscope eyes' and 'looking glass ties'. We never noticed the LSD initial until it was pointed out later - by which point people didn't believe us."
This is directly from the Beatles anthology book, where Paul, Ringo, and John also say it was from a drawing and not from LSD. Then Paul tries to add to his ego by saying it really was and he was taking heroin around the time of Sgt Pepper.
I love Paul, but the guy has a massive ego and wants to keep adding to it by distancing himself with bad things. Like Magical Mystery Tour the movie, it stunk according to people, and everybody says it was Paul's idea. But when he's asked he comes out with "I'm not sure.." He's full of ....he just tells people things now to add to his legacy with The Beatles.
When it comes to The Beatles, if it was great, Paul tries to take as much credit as he can, if it stinks, he deflects all the credit to everyone else even though he should be taking most of it.
Who really gives a rat's ass. The song kicks ass and we all know they did drugs.
Big deal. Like Chalupa said many fans like the story whether it is true or not.
They get a lot ofplay on the radio, and I must say, I really can't stanfd their music. I can't believe they won a grammy.imo.
