We will abuse every little silly defensive "matchup" offered this time around. That's after we dispatch OKC in 4 though. Let's not get ahead of ourselves and forget to savor every moment of crushing the life out of OKC.
After what happened in 2012, I am savoring it, that's for sure!

I'm not so sure our team is THAT much better than the previous season. Parker was playing at an MVP level and Duncan was 1st team All-NBA...that certainly hasn't been the case this year. Tim's been great but he's not where he was last season, imo
Parker had a grade 2 hammy strain from the 4th game on in last year's Finals.

Not to my knowledge, we've only played two games.
    You need to ask?
His comment was that the entire discussion regarding how the Heat will play us seems a bit premature, I think.

Did you see all those easy ducks Hibbert was missing near the rim? Do you think Duncan/Splitter miss that many? Splitter may miss a few but he's finishing better while Duncan is just shooting right in the face of undersized Thunder.

Not only that, but Manu was nursing a bad knee according to Pop. Yet the Manu haters completely disregard that fact, Manu was not at 100%, nor was TP.

I get it, and I agree, premature.

And? That doesn't really detract from my statement. I'm talking about a whole season, you're singling out the last 3 games of the season

I think he means that this years Spurs is better than last years Spurs Finals team while this years Heat is worse. No one really cares about the whole season if it's how they performed in the Finals last years vs. this year.

Another point that seems to be lost is that the Heat were not a demonstrably better team than the Spurs last year. It was about as even as a Finals can get, so even if both teams are at the same level as last year, HCA could tilt it in the Spurs' favor.

i agree. Rare goods from op.

Battier and Haslem are non factors. Bosh is hit or miss

Diaw, Green and Leonard all played great D against Lebron. Diaw could exploit him in the post

I don't remember them being huge factors last year either tbh
Battier was garbage last season, but I think he had one game in the Finals where he just went off and torched us. Scrub torching Spurs per par, tbh...

My only real concern is Wade seems to have benefited greatly from his rest. If Miami has the Dwayne Wade of old (as opposed to an old Dwayne Wade) this will be a tough series.

That said, Spurs in 6. (Yep, on Miami's floor. "Bring out those damn ropes.")
