Duncan has actually had a solid year in the post, especially on the right block.
Also, Timmy killed both players in the finals and regular season this year, so not sure what you're talking about.
Duncan guarding Bosh is bad for us because Bosh is now a perimeter player that just wants to launch 3s. Splitter I can see being useful against that sort of sissy style of play though.
As far as Bird Man, I think he had one portion of one critical game (thinking it was 6, maybe it was 7) last year where he defended Duncan well. Otherwise Duncan had his way with him, I would agree that Duncan posting up on Bird Man over and over is not a good strategy though. Duncan posting on Haslem I like all day long.
So basically if we dare to look ahead I like Duncan out there against Bird/Haslem but not Bosh, with the exception of final 28 seconds.
