at one point it was going to commercial and showing a replay of lebron hitting in boris' face and boris had a hand up contesting just fine more or less when it comes to defending james and what you CAN do about it.
and jackson goes "hand down man down" all proud. and im like, okay, you don't just get to drop your catch phrases whenever you want so everyone knows you have them. okay, boris' hand was up and in lebrons face, no hand down man down applies at all.
so uhhhh, it wasn't hand down man down but you can parrot your little lines all you want.
Schoening is truly horrible, and yes, actually worse than Jackson. WOAI ed up so bad firing Jay Howard.

The only announcer the Spurs have ever had worse than Schoening was back in the early 90s when they were on KSAT and Greg Simmons did the games for a couple of weeks until they went out and hired a play-by-play guy.
Jackson is a longtime Bryant fan boy, to the point where he even claimed years ago that he was either equal or greater (can't remember) than Jordan.
He also, like the vast majority of "black" former players from the 80s and 90s, clearly isn't a fan of the Spurs because they're not "black enough".

Pretty much. It's funny, it doesn't apply to the vast majority of the "black" former players from the 70s and 60s. Many of them clearly revere the Spurs, because they view them as playing the game the way it's supposed to be played and supposedly was in their era.
The 80s and 90s guys, for the most part, their idea of a championship team is that of the Bulls and Lakers (moreso the Bryant led ones than the O'Neal led ones).
This doesn't just apply to the Spurs, either. In '11, it was clear Jackson, among others, didn't want the Mavs to win. Even though they were a much "blacker" team than the Spurs, they didn't fit into their box, since they were led by a white player, were team oriented and were largely inferior athletically.
The Spurs have been treated to ty trios of announcers during this playoff run. C-Web, Reggie and Kerr, but this group is the ing worst.

But there is a difference someone commenting on regular season games to the teams fans while commentating to a game that is transmitting all around the world in a finals. At times I would just tune them out while I was cheering for the spurs and I think my jaw dropped when he commented on Tim and then Kobe ONLY because I thought why are we talking about Kobe he is not playing. WTH?!
That play when Kawhi got fouled than called for the charge was hilariously bull . The announcers had no idea what to say, Jackson bring some it up in a soft voice and nobody talks about it again
I muted the OKC series on TNT because they had to put ing Reggie Miller on. Marv Albert and Kerr are the best, but they just had to put Miller on there.
I normally like JVG and Breen but Jackson has ruined that as well, so back to muting. Jackson comparing Duncan's aloofness to Kobe might have been worse than Jackson's wife murdering the national anthem.
Saying he's worse than Reggie is about as low as you could have gone TGY.. Does Mark Jackson have a beautiful tribal sun around his belly button? Anyways, I agree that he is pretty bad, but I think it's due to his stupid ass style he tries to throw in when they show replays leading in and out of commercials, etc. He thinks he is witty/clever, and he ing sucks huge .
Mark Jackson is horrible... kinda sucks Kerr is departing, tbh... Golden State did the right thing in switching commentator/coaches, imo...
Then in other play Jackson said, it's Spurs player fault for putting himself in a position to where a foul might be called against him...smh

I actually like Schoening. He is corny as but he knows he is and fits that character imo Mark Jackson on the other hand thinks he's providing some great insight and thoughtful commentary with his garbage analysis. At least Reggie Miller was a relevant player in history

JVG and Marv. I like Kerr too. They have to have one "color" commentator. Im sure JAckson makes perfect sense to the majority of the nba fanbase, but to anyone outside of the AAU circuit probably cant stand his trash.
Mark Jackson was also quite an annoying player back in his day.
