It would go something like this:
The Spurs select "insert name"
...
...
WHO???
The unexpected. Even though we pick last, don't think the rest of the league hasn't been watching, particularly all the Spur alumni. Didn't the Spurs recently sign some foreign assistant coaches? Maybe that's a clue as to who they pick.

Bagdonovic
Inglis
Antetokounmpo
Tavares
They signed or are going to sign Coach Messina.
That would be a good guess on your part, and mine too.
Messina may have an influence on who they draft, some Euro player would be a great guess.
To those hoping for Saric, he will be long gone before we pick. Even with his new contract, he's still a top 25 pick, likely top 20. It would take a trade up, which is highly unlikely. He probably goes to a team like PHX with multiple first round picks who doesn't mind him not coming for 2-3 years.
This would be a really good draft for the Spurs to package a player and/or one or two of their second round picks to move up in the first round.
Wouldnt mind it at all but I just don't see it. Who would we trade? With the uncertainty of Mills returning, I don't see us trading Cojo right now. We're going to need Beli in the regular season next year. Ayers? No shot. We just don't have many moveable assets.
If anything I could see the Spurs trading their first round pick for a couple of second rounders to avoid having to pay a rookie instead of just drafting a Euro-stash. In such a deep draft I wouldn't be surprised. Team like Philly, who has 4 second round picks, might be interested.
I can really see this happening. Maybe they decide to trade down for a prospect likely to fall, but then again the Spurs do tend to reach. Having four Second Round picks would be fun!
You heard it from BatManu20!
I love it. Would rather have three wild cards than one, even if that one has a slightly better shot of making it. These may be first round talents down the road.
Although locking someone in on the rookie scale for the 30th pick is a very affordable contract. It could be less than some of the 2nd round contracts.
Think Chandler Parsons. That contract was a robbery!
Spurs have a back up for Parker, he was needed. Duncan needs a backup Bayne s not ready yet. Ginobli needs a backup for his sneakers. Three greats are near the end of their careers and will not be able to consistently produce fot the whole sseason. They have to carry Pop who every now and then loses the plot.
Bingo.
