    Still doesn't mean that another team won't try to sign him cheaply as well. Yeah, the Spurs don't have to pay him as much but that also means other teams don't have to pay him as much but just a little bit more than the Spurs offer and he might take it.

    We need to warn the younger players to not take the towel waiving thing to his level. That said, we really shouldn't be celebrating the fact that a guy who earned a pay day this year might lose out on money because of an injury he sustained in helping us win a le.

    As Patty plays the two as much as the one, and a rotator cuff surgery calling for as long as six months for recovery, and Manu expected to break a femur in FIBA, we may have a more interesting time trying to find someone to play at the 2 spot than we may have thought. Also, Cory may be playing heavy minutes at the 1 Until as late as Dec/Jan. Good thing Tony isn't playing summer ball, either, as his minutes to start the season may have just gone up considerably.
