    The Lakers have a horrible roster... to suggest adding Melo (pipedream) alone would make them contenders is nonsense.

    No good offensive player can be stopped in today's NBA. The rules are to far skewed in favor of offensive players. The Spurs do have arguable the two best guys capable of slowing Melo down though. Both Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard can do well against him. Boris can guard him as well. Carmelo has never shown me anything worthy of inciting fear.

    Duncan also hit a 3 pointer against Phoenix, but we know he's no Allen. He also missed a bunny jump-hook in 7, but we all know he's an all time great. Let's not let isolated plays cloud our overall judgement. Kobe and Melo are both ballstoppers, not a great mesh.
