    Soccer isn't a sport. It's just a Civil War reenactment. It's unf#cking watchable.

Soccer doesn't have commercials. NFL is 11 minutes of Action. 2 hours of Ads

Yes. But nothing compares to World Cup, Euro Cup or Champions League

Yeah, and I effing hate it. Soccer has the best athletes in the world. I still can't stand watching it. If I wanted to watch acting, I'd go to the movies or Broadway.

Well, maybe for people who are actually from countries of soccer powers.

You bandwagoned Germany out of your Euro love. Hardly an authentic connection.

When did you start loving the 3rd World Lawn game? Your original account never posted in the soccer forum.

the north had already captured seoul before the US entered and drove them back north and captured pyongyang, then the chinese entered and pushed us back south where we finally stalemated along the same line that still divides the 2 countries today.

if the US doesn't enter, the war was already over. to this day if the US ever leaves the north will conquer the south within weeks or months. the artillery that they have all up and down that demilitarized zone is just ridiculous and would tear the south to shreds..it's like having a gun already pointed at their head.

I dunno. South Korea has a pretty strong main battle tank battalion, squadrons of F15E and F16 fighters, subs, and a well trained and well fed (which the Norks can't boast ) infantry force. Meanwhile, the Norks are still using 1960s Soviet hand-me-downs.

The artillery attack would claim much civilian life, since it's all pointed at Seoul, but I'm quite sure South Korea has a contingency plan that wouldn't allow such an attack to compromise their ability to mobilize. They'd roll across the DMZ and pound the North Korean's ancient hardware into scrap metal, at which point their starving Army would probably surrender.
