Seriously what the happened to men? Even as early as 5 years ago only gots wore skinny jeans and shorts above the knee, now all of a sudden it's a thing.

Aside from bball ones ies or cargo shorts are shorts I'll wear--at or below the knee.

Gotta disagree with my fkla, tbh..

Shorts below the knees is too antiquated, it's a lost look..no different than baggy gear, Timbs, long tees, etc..

lol at them ie shorts. i wore those in high school but i wouldn't be caught dead in em now. i prefer my shorts to fit like the men in the OP. right above the knee or a few inches above....never worn shorts with boots tho.

The baggy look is pretty much dead at this point. For better or worse.

skinny jeans though. Most uncomfortable clothing mankind has ever created. I can't even imagine what that would do to my chances of procreation.

How do y'all s not feel like s in short shorts, though? The ies aren't even real baggy if you buy them in your actual size. I don't really care for the baggy look too much but they gotta be long...no damn way will I be seen with shorts 3-4 inches above the knee tbh.

Must be a cultural thing or something. You'd get made fun of/ass kicked if you wore above the knee shorts where I'm from.

    this is the correct answer.

there is a zone called, "normal shorts zone" where the bottoms of the shorts should fall. It's a zone from the top of the patella to the halfway point between the middle of the shin and the bottom of the patella. Higher than that it starts to get gy. Lower and it becomes to urban. Lower than urban is European. Then highwaters.

Shorts with good quality lace up hiking boots when hiking are fine.

Shorts with knee high snake boots at the ranch are fine.

Shorts with any kind of boots in the city are just gay as .

Can't say I like 80s shorts, but hiking I don't want that goes down to the knee.

I think the rules are entirely different for hiking, cycling, etc.

Yeah...shorts in the OP are too damn short for me. Flat or cargo, middle to the top of the knee cap works fine. Mine are kinda big on me right now because I've lost inches around my waist. Gonna ride them out this summer and pick up some more when they start to clear them out headed into the fall.
