Sorry for blogging here. But it should be noted that this is a buyout in the domestic sense, not in the international sense. Lorbek isn't paying to leave Barcelona. They are paying HIM to leave. That says a lot about his current level of play.
why do you use per 36 as evidence when it is a hypothetical of a prediction? I never understood why per 36 could be useful. I dont want him, even if it means losing errors. His ty FG% and anti-rebounding do it for me.

He has a fine enough shooting percentage. He went 56 percent from two and 37 percent from three last year.

Per-36 stats are important because it helps control for minutes. Lorbek's numbers look bad for a starter, but he was playing bench minutes, and they're fine for someone in that role. Like if Erazem were to come to the Spurs and get eight and three as the fourth big, he'd be a good pickup.

I read he said that he was taking the year off to heal up.....no chance on coming over this year or probably ever.

Indeed. But him waiting actually helps his chances, as the Spurs will have the money and roster spots next year.

At this point it seems that Bertans would be a higher priority than Lorbek...

Discussion about this buy out started in July, both parties were negotiating for a long time. Not a big surprise, He was not part of Pascual's plan for the coming season.

Lorbek in a Spurs jersey are near 0. He is 30 y/o and injury prone.
