2005 Game 7 was a game I'll never forget. Horry in Game 5 was absolutely mind-blowing, but would have been for naught if we didn't come back on Timmy's back to close it out. High drama.

Game 5 in 2005 is still my all time favorite game.
I would have to agree with you there. I have Dallas game 6 up there in 03 as well, but that was not for the le as game 5 was IMO, that game was HUGE. We all know if the Spurs lose that game 5 it's over, we lost game 6 against Detroit. Game 5 is my all time fave, Memorial Day Miracle and a few others after that closely but game 5 it is.

swept the lakers out of the forum in 99, but beating them in Staples in 03 was sweeter since they were the 3x champs and the demons that knocked us out 2 straight years

Duncan's 3pointer game against PHX in 2008 always stands out to me for some reason tbh. I just remember going crazy watching the game.
    Me too.

That was such a crazy night in SA.

Memorial Day Miracle and the crowd reaction to it was probably the moment that I officially became an NBA fan, so that has sentimental value for me.

    1. 05 game 5 vs Detroit.... Damn I was nervous, but Big Shot did it again, not just with the 3 pointer, but the guy went crazy for the last 15 minutes.
    2. 08 game 1 vs Phoenix.... Finleys big shot, Duncan's 3 pointer and Manu's winner. It was nice beating the Suns once again.
    3. 14 game 5 vs Miami.... This one felt the best, I mean every one was great but this one was just really satisfying... After last year and being afraid that 6 could hapen again we all needed this.
    4. 03 game 6 vs Nets.... That was my first time watching the Spurs win, cause I wasn't a fan in 99 and started following the Spurs in 2000 season the 03 will always be special. Also Tim went crazy that game, just like the whole 03 playoffs.
    5. 05 game 7 vs Detroit.... Ater being down at the half and it being a close series it really could go either way. Thank god for Tim and Manu.

There were some games like the 03 game 6 vs the Lakers I enjoyed but I didn't watch that live.

Maybe I'm just an oldie but for me it has to me the memorial day miracle. There are so many other great moments but to me this is what set the tone and over the hump that the Spurs were now legit winners for years to come.

Close second for me would be the TD 3 pointer. I went bat crazy when that happened and im usually a very laid back person.

However after saying all this I don't want to take anything away from the Horry Crazy heroics. My god! there are just way to many moments it's so hard to really choose!!! lol I'm so happy to be a fan of this team!

As Spurs fans, it's incredible the long list of games we have to choose from for favorites!
Can you imagine if this same question was posed on a Clippers or Twolves site?

    1. Beat Denver in game 7. Get out of the first round. Garnett near triple double.
    2. Beat number 1 seed Spurs on the final day of the regular season, qualified for the playoffs. Wally hits key three to win the game.

    1. Won in Staples, for the first time as the road team.
    2. Jack attends his first Clipper game without the Lakers. Clips lose to the Heat.

Seriously, for my Spurs favorites, I'd have to go with both clinching game 5s, the last (2014) and the first (1999). Really there is just too many to chose from.

2005 Finals Gm 5... Nine years later, it still stands the test of time. It just had a little bit of everything: two superb teams, a Finals series lead on the line, drama, tension, etc...

Then 2008 WCQF Gm 1. I remember waking up so early and shouting so loud when TD hit that three. It was crazy.

Those two are the ones that really don't need to be recalled much to be remembered.

Wow! SO many great games in this team's storied history. Just reading through this thread puts a smile on my face as a Spurs fan. I remember each and every one of those games. It is so hard to pick a favorite. So many great memories.

I was 11 years old when the Spurs drafted Tim Duncan, and I have been lucky enough to witness the incredible career of my favorite athlete of all time. It has been AWESOME to watch him and the Spurs over the past couple decades. I have never seen a team like the Spurs or franchise player the like Timmy before. Truly an honor!

2014 WCF Game 6 should be up there.

Spurs lose Parker in the 2nd half but still maintain a lead into the fourth. The Thunder come roaring back and its home crowd goes crazy. Westbrook and Durant hit some clutch shots and suddenly erases the Spurs' sizable lead. The crowd is in a frenzy now and it looks like a Thunder victory is inevitable. Then Duncan sets a crushing screen on Fisher and frees up Ginobili for a clutch 3. Ginobili nails the 3 but the game goes to overtime.

The announcers can't keep mouthing off about how old the Spurs are the and the youth of the Thunder would seal the game in overtime. Flashbacks of 2012 start, Manu is tired, Parker is injured, and the young players start to look nervous. But the 38 year old Tim Duncan refuses to die. Just as the Thunder seem to grab control in overtime, Duncan scores 7 straight Spurs points to seize the lead and finish off the Thunder. Leonard's steal/block of Westbrook's transition layup also quashes any chances of a Thunder comeback. That series could have easily been the finals of 2014.

man what an amazing list! i pictured each game and relived it as i was reading!

2003 Game 6 NBA Finals is my favorite. david robinson's last game, 2nd championship, but mainly because i was at the game lol.

another game that i thought was quite amazing was the double OT thriller in 2013 WC semis vs golden state.

    1. 1999 WCF Game 2 - Sean Elliott leads the Spurs from 18 down and hits a crazy gamewinner over Rasheed Wallace while tiptoeing to avoid the sideline.

I would say game 6 vs the Lakers in '03. That was for me my favorite game of all time because for the last few years prior to game 6 the Lakers had a talked a lot of about the Spurs and rubbed it in whenever they won. The asterisk talk was annoying along with Duncan isn't the real MVP bs started by Kobe,Shaq, and Phil. It was great to see Duncan take huge on them along with the spurs following his lead in the game. It was icing on the cake to see Kobe and Fisher in tears along with seeing Shaq in a state of shock at the end of the game. After winning that game it was a foregone conclusion the spurs were going to win it all that year. I hated losing to Miami last year but I didn't hate the heat like I hated the Lakers so game 6 is my all time favorite.

Though I have been a fan since 85, no game from 85-97 comes close to these 16: (sorry I have to index from 0 like C++ tbh, forgot about TD's first playoff game)

    0. 1998 WCSF Game 1 - In his playoff debut Tim Duncan completely takes over the second half of the game, destroying Antonio McDyess and Hot Rod Williams and setting the stage for a career of dominance over the Suns. Duncan cannot be stopped!

    1. 1999 WCF Game 2 - Sean Elliott leads the Spurs from 18 down and hits a crazy gamewinner over Rasheed Wallace while tiptoeing to avoid the sideline.

    2. 1999 Finals Game 5 - Spurs win their first behind a 31 point performance from Duncan, with Avery Johnson, the point guard everyone said could never lead the Spurs to a le, hitting the clincher.

    3. 2002 WCQF Game 3 - With the series tied 1-1 and the Spurs pissed at Desmond Mason's showboat dunk to end Game 2, nineteen year-old Tony Parker comes in and destroys Gary Payton on his home floor. 23 points on 10-15 shooting with 5 boards and 4 assists on the road against a first ballot Hall of Famer from a guy who should have been a freshman at UCLA. To me, this is really the game I thought the Spurs were back and ready to be le contenders again, especially with the rumors of Ginobili finally coming over.

    4. 2003 WCSF Game 6 - After narrowly escaping Game 5 when Robert Horry's three bounced out, no one was giving the Spurs much of a shot to close LA out on the road in Game 6. Duncan comes in and puts up 37 and 16 in front of Jack and Parker has a monster 27 point game, including a back-breaking layup at the end of the third that really seemed to break the Lakers spirit. Russ destroys the asterisk on national TV.

    5. 2003 WCF Game 6 - Down 13 in the fourth, with Parker sick and Duncan having a bad game, Stephen Jackson goes nuts and starts a 23-0 run that Steve Kerr comes in and caps off. Probably the most impressive run in franchise history to clinch their second trip to the Finals.

    6. 2003 Finals Game 6 - Tim Duncan 21/20/10/8 while holding Kenyon Martin to an embarrassing 3/23 shooting night. David Robinson 13/17 to win a le in his last game. Spurs use a 19-0 run to end New Jersey's season when Ginobili and Jackson go nuts, with some great play from Speedy Claxton too.

    7. 2005 WCSF Game 5 - With the Spurs blowing a 2-0 lead and coming back to San Antonio 2-2, Manu Ginobili goes crazy, dropping 39 points on Seattle on 15 FGA.

    8. 2005 WCF Game 2 - Suns are really hanging in there in this must win for them. I love the sequence: Nash hits a three to take a two point lead 102-100 Suns with 3 minutes left and the crowd is going ing nuts. Rob comes back after the timeout and drops a three to make it 103-102 Spurs, Manu goes behind his back reverse spin on Marion for the layup 105-102 Spurs. Then Stoudemire misses a layup and Manu takes his famous hop back jumper against Marion to make it 107-102 Spurs.

    9. 2005 Finals Game 5 - Duncan looks amazing for three quarters, but has nothing left in the tank in the fourth thanks to two bad ankles. Rob puts up the legendary performance of legendary Spurs playoff performances to take up the slack, scoring 21 points, with his first points being from a three with one second left in the third and his last the shot to take the 96-95 lead that was the final score.

    10. 2007 WCSF Game 6 - Everyone knew Spurs-Suns was the Finals that year, and in a le clinching game ( Utah and Cleveland) Manu Ginobili had the greatest game he has ever played: 33 points on 11-17 shooting, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals. He was everywhere that night and completely broke the game open in the third. Parker and Duncan had huge games too in clinching le #4.

    11. 2008 WCQF Game 1 - Tim Duncan 40 points. The Suns kept coming so close to stealing this, and then they let Finley get open for the three to force OT. Duncan hits the three to force 2OT. Nash hits a crazy fadeaway three from the baseline that looks like it could force 3OT, but Ginobili hits the gamewinning layup on Raja Bell.

    12. 2012 WCSF Game 3 - Spurs are down 24 to the Clippers in the second and come back and completely blow the game open. I'll always love the 2011-12 Spurs because that's where the current iteration of the team based on precision ball movement and lots of cuts was born.

    13. 2013 Finals Game 3 - Danny Green and Gary Neal go nuts from the three point line and the Spurs blow the Heat out by 36 to take a 2-1 lead in the Finals.

    14. 2014 Finals Game 3 - OK, so Miami is coming back home with the series tied 1-1 after handing the Spurs a bitter loss on their own homecourt. So the Spurs respond by starting the game shooting 19-21 to take a 25 point lead while setting an NBA Finals record of 76% for a half. Then withstand a monster Heat run and blow the game back open again to hand Miami a crushing defeat.

    15. 2014 Finals Game 5 - The Spurs overcome a 22-6 deficit with a 59-22 run to finally pay Miami back for 6 and cap off the greatest redemption story in league history, while also setting a record for best FG percentage and best point differential in Finals history. This capped off a postseason with 12 wins of 15+ points, and the series was so lopsided it broke the 2x defending champions up.
I still have the Duncan 1998 game on my old VCR
