Crab legs are delicious but way too much effort for the reward
This is a really stupid reason to suspend a player, tbh, and absolutely doesn't merit the negative comments and reactions that the incident has received from fans/media..
With everything going on in the sports world at the moment, it's absurd to suspend a player for words

It's an unfortunate thing to say after he escaped his rape allegations, but people may be overreacting. Stealing crab legs was worse if you ask me, and more embarrassing.
Did he even get suspended by the football team for the crab stealing episode?
And that was just because he spelled his name correctly.

I wasn't in favour of taking Sterling's team, tbh..sets a bad precidence..
a college campus or a business with a union such as the NBA have their own legal codes of conduct and failure to abide by them grants either ownership or administration the authority to levy whatever punishment it deems fit. a professor hired to be on the tenured faculty at the university of illinois just had his offer retracted because of messages sent out on his twitter account which were critical of israel's air strikes against gaza. the university reasoned that they had to side on the side of the students (in particular, its jewish students) who would perhaps feel threatened by the presence of the professor. granted, that decision was a load of bull but it stood. clearly, FSU could argue that they had to seek out a punishment for language which would make women feel threatened on campus.

Sickening but not suprising to read the FSU forum (Warchant) and see most fans defending Winston. ers not only idolize athletes but teenagers. I'm glad I've matured enough to separate sport & life
yeah, it's a poor reflection of our society when we see so many defending the likes of winston but that seems to be par for the course nowadays.
Compared to helping him get away with rape, that's putting down the hammer.
Manziel's essentially harmless, and the discussion of him was about the same as the discussion of Tebow, who is way less of an asshat than Manziel. Winston is toxic, and there's not much debate because nobody with a brain is defending or supporting him. Add to that that he's black, so you run the risk of losing your job if you bad mouth him.
Mel Kiper dropped him from #3 on his draft big board to #25 just to show his displeasure with Winston.

Nuts and bolts, the kid is a of a football player. And frankly that's what matters to the public who love entertainers. Winston has the possibility of becoming a very good entertainer at the highest level. Now get a video of him decking his GF and we change the mood. If he said the second part it's not very smart of him since he's already been accused of rape once. I have no issues with the first part, and don't think he should have been suspended for just that.
This is exactly the type of stuff one wants to say after beating a rape charge.
