Snake.. All day errday
People weren't really storing media collections on their PC in 1996, but yeah, 1 GB wasn't much.
Snake.. All day errday
So did I.
Having computers then was a big deal.
The Good Son was a ed up movie tbh
we are still using outdated sound quality cd's. not much has changed in that regard.
The VHS part cracked me up. I also loved the audio cassette tape prices. Those are very hard to find. VCRs were badass back in the day.
Sony 4 Head (!!) VCR on sale now through Monday for only 299.99!!
Didn't even notice that the fax machine was one of those paper roll faxes until I read back through just now. I forgot those even existed.
That was back when dudes would roll around in $200 cars with $800 systems in the back. Maybe they still do that, I don't know.
true, it was 10yrs later when I got my first computer tbh. What do you think of my latest Lunar Goddess poem btw?

Packard Bell computers
8mb memory on those computersholy
det Dru Down album tho
Spoiled-ass kids. Do you understand how good you have it these days. PC's were even slower and more expensive in late 80's- early 90's.
I can't believe the ridiculous markup you used to have in boxed desktop computers. I remember when I built my first one it was about $800 and outperformed $1500 retail boxes.
A friend of mine had a Silicon Graphics Indigo workstation. I believe he had $50k in total hardware.
Your low-end PC's of today could outperform that machine.
I remember buying an IBM-XT with a dot matrix printer for about $7000. Had a screaming 128KB of Ram and a 10 MB hard drive. That was hot at the time. Wordstar was the hot word processing software pre-windows word.
Later on I had a cell phone mounted in my truck that honked the horn when it rang and a motorola brick I paid $1250 for.

Not much has changed in 18 years.
