I agree. One way ticket. Going to Austin is the kiss of death.
    Except it isn't.

He'll go for a day, be back with the mothership for their next game. If everyone save Mills is healthy in a couple of weeks he might go for a longer assignment.

Well that didn't take too long.
Yes it did. He should have been sent to the Toros to start the season. The question of whether he can make it in the NBA depends on his development of his shot, his system defense, and overall physical ability vs. BB IQ. The answers to those questions can only be determined by a lot of playing time instead of basically standing around the perimeter and passing the ball around the horn.

Oddly it seemed as if he almost got the benefit of the doubt, which is not shocking given his BB-IQ. Also, with several rotation players down, and the usual suspects unable to really give quality minutes, it's even more so not a shocker that he hadn't been sent down yet. But now that Beli is back, the solid play of Joseph as of late, and now that Pop seems to really want to give Daye an extended look, off to Austin you go. So in retrospect it's simple to say the typical things, but in this situation as opposed to the past with others players, this seems to be right on time.

He probably would be on a longer term assignment had there not been so many injuries. For now just compare the Spurs schedule and the Sporos home schedule to look for opportunities

Sent the wrong player imo but at least he will get some PT which will be good for him and his confidence if he takes going to D-leauge well. Which I think he will he seems like a level headed kid and willing to learn.

No way KA is going to get regular PT with the spurs unless a rash of injuries hit them. Not a negative thing for KA, just on a really deep team with alot of talent. His time well come in the 2015-2016 season.

He's really slow and painful to watch, exacerbated by his inability to shoot and lack of confidence, tbh..

He needs to spend as much time in Austin as possible..

Cojo is playing well right now, but he hasn't done anything of note in the league..

If Anderson's ceiling is Cojo, then he should quit right now IMO..

I'm aware of that. KA has a bad shot but hey atleast he's not hyped as Daye who's supposed to be a 3pt shooter
Daye hyped???? Daye is a scrub earning less than the rookie KA.

For a Bonner replacement, he's doing okay. C'mon, just the other day he got a double-double with 50% shooting from the 3 point line. I'm not saying he's the next Kevin Durant, but he's a servicable stretch 4 big.

To be fair, the rookie is earning a few hundred thousand less than Daye, I think, but to call Daye hyped is laughable. 80% of the board was calling for him to be gone even before the end of last season. Only a handful of people were ever "hyping" him. If anything, in general, ST has been calling for his head on a platter since the day of the trade.

Just checked the numbers.... Anderson gets $1,093,680 and Daye gets $1,063,384. So I'm right, he gets paid lower than the rookie. Heck..... he's almost lowest paid player in the entire team. Bonner has the lowest pay.

So I can't see why folks are complaining about a 26 year old 6'11" player being paid at slightly over $1m. What you have here is a bargain basement project! The difference between Bonner and Daye is that Bonner is at the end of his careeer while Daye is just starting out. I can't see why so many folks aren't ecstatic!

Austin has been great for the Spurs. Big part of why the Spurs are the best at player development.

You're right. Sorry. Not sure what I was remembering.

Well, Daye's saving grace is supposed to be his shooting, and he's giving all of his detractors plenty of ammunition, but the vitriol is excessive and still premature, IMHO.

Again, he could shut up 90% of it simply by knock g down his shots at some point. The ball is, literally, in his hands.

Good news. He's been subpar in his stint so far. Maybe Austin can get him confident and in rhythm.

The playing time will do him good. He's done some nice things already but some sloppy things too.

Still impressed with Green. Not so much with Cotton.

Kyle playing SF, parking in the corners. Moved Jarell Eddie to SG making for a really long starting lineup. Getting all kinds of deflections and steals.

Kyle covering the 6'5" leading scorer for the Warriors. Has him at 1-4 so far.

Anderson shot the ball well in preseason, imo it's more about lack of rhythm...
This. He was shooting it really well in preseason. Just needs to get his confidence back. Guy just turned 21, he'll be fine in the long run.

    .
the drive & dunk over ibaka ignited the final fire needed to win a championship..................before cojo spurs were timid vs ibaka cojo ended the timidness & led the spurs to a series win over the thunder..................
