I, for one, hope Finley passes on the Spurs. I'd rather have Devin Brown on our squad for the long term.
True, but didn't he also key the comeback win in Game 1?If you are all enthralled over Finley...just pop in the 2003 DVD and watch the 4th quarter of Game 6 v. Mavs. A less than inspiring contribution from Finley with 2 or 3 untimely turnovers.
This is great, but I'm betting Finley's already made his decision.

I see him as more of a guy who can help you build/maintain a lead in quarters 1 through 3. Then you go to your closeout crew of...
NVE
Manu
Bowen
Horry
Duncan
no wonder they call that fool Nick the Quick
Kori is laughing at me instead of at my joke....![]()
@ Van Exel
I like that he's trying to help get Fin -- I just would rather have Devin.
I like Devin as a Spur. I think its mostly because he is SA product (West Campus and UTSA), but I say if you have a chance of adding a former All-Star who can give you 20+ on any given night (with enough minutes that is), then you go get him. People here keep talking about saving players for down the line. The Spurs want to win as many championships as they can now. Not just in the future. Bowen isn't getting younger and I can also say that about Tim, Robert, Barry, and Manu. The Spurs have to worry about this season.
At this point the rest of the offseason is gravy.
Neither option is bad. I'd give Finley the edge based on what he's capable of and the fact that you'd be keeping him away from some other serious contenders, but keeping DBrown would be rather nice.
Then if he does come here and make some mistakes he will be in the ever popular Pop's Dog House.
It's a good thing Mailk remodeled Pop's doghouse with all the time he spent in there because there could be plenty of potential occupants at different times:
Beno (head of the dog house)
Barry
Finley
NVE
Tony
Rasho
Nazr
That's hilarious.
I think NVE was a great pick up. It really relieves the pressure on our two young PGs. But I am not sure how Finley will help us much. Devin Brown is often better defensively, and we don't really need his offense that much. I won't be sad if Finley signs, but he won't get many minutes. Really, Miami is probably his best bet for playing time. If he wants the money (Which he shouldn't since he's already getting paid) he'll sign with the Suns.
his knees are questionable
very
Gee, when hearing the Suns sent the house and Miami sent their entourage to talk to Finley you all said the Spurs didn't need to "suck Finley's balls" to get him to come here. Now that NVE is on his knees wetting his lips y'all are gleaming at how great it its that other players are begging him to come here.
WTF are you talking about we dont need his offense, did you not watch the series against detroit?
he had to take his time
first he bought a TI-93 to calculate the number of suns championships and whether is was greater than the spurs
but it had too many buttons
then he hired a mathematician and found out the answer
Begging?
"Hey Fin, what's up dog. Yeah, just signed with the Spurs. These motha ers is some badass motha ers. You should sign here man."
That's begging?
It's a little different when a newly sign player makes a pitch from his cell phone than a team sending everyhting and the kitchen sink to the player himself. A lot different.
Don't confuse the two. You're good at confusing things. Like real women and guys dressing up as them. You confused the two a lot. On purpose I think.
I agree with this one. i dont see the point of NVE calling him being great.
let him make his choice. i think POP was as clear with finley as with NVE. the difference is NVE was maybee more receptive.
the only difference i guess billscarnage is that nobody ask NVE to call or brought him to chicago... but i agree with you
Is this confirmed or just your e-pinion?
Suckin Balls is suckin balls. Ain't nothin different. According to you, because it's a Spur doing it, it's ok. NVE is a Spur and he's suckin balls, period. Doesn't matter when they became a spur/sun/heat. fact is they are.
You've been spending too much time at the boy band forums - thought you were trying to break that habbit.

I think this is great he just took on a bench roll on our team and is already trying to make the team that much better what poise he shows...
Can't argue w/an expert on the subject.
