Just filled up for $2.49...2 cents higher than it was this morning.
There are stations in Phoenix running out of gas already (6pm here). Nothing like widespread panic to make the gas prices higher.

Gas prices suck but I'm not gonna run out and fill up. People are paying what.....20 dollars more a week on average? Cut back on the Starbucks sor movies or whatever and it all balances out.
let's just say that the price will be about 3 dollars by the weekend.

I can only speak for a wholesale, out of the refinery gate level of prices... but prices have gone up around $0.64/gal in the last two trading days.
right now gas cost the companies 2.89 a gallon to drop at the stores. it WILL go up higher.

in the RGV I filled up both my vehicles @ $2.43 (regular unleaded).My SUV filled up with $50 and my car with $28.
Today in the morning while driving to work I passed by an HEB and they had about 40 cars or so(they were selling gas @ $2.43-probably want to empty their reserves from yesterday?) and accross the street a Circle-K had regular unleaded @ $2.99!
I am hearing on the news gas prices will probably hit an all time high within a few weeks @ $4!
I am usually not very stingy with $$$ but in these cases it starts to eat up in huge amounts at the budget.I usually go home during lunch and go to the gym and those activities are not very profitable now.Its time to get the bull from its horns!

NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Consumers can expect retail gas prices to rise to $4 a gallon soon but whether they stay there depends on the long-term damage to oil facilities from Hurricane Katrina, oil and gas analysts said Wednesday.
"There's no question gas will hit $4 a gallon," Ben Brockwell, director of pricing at the Oil Price Information Service, said. "The question is how high will it go and how long will it last?"

Any word on oil reserves being used yet? That should push it back to undr 70 dollars a barrell. Now is when we should use it.
Should have started using it about a month ago.
Can't use it every tiime gas prices go up. It's more for emergencies like natural disasters like this or major problems with OPEC.
