San Antonio might be the better defensive team but there is no defense that can slow down a 300+ pounder attacking the basket. Just get out the way Mohammad so you won't get hurt. Let Shaq dunk it.
He's probably a bandwagoner.... ignore him.

This raises an interesting question....
Why the are you watching Stephen A. Smith?
i thought wade's injury was more critical to their loss, he was much more visibly impaired. then again, championship teams find a way to get past those things. miami just collapsed at the end of the 4th, detroit put it on them.
yeah too bad there are a bunch of what if's from last year....
but only one fact and that is The Spurs are your NBA World Champions!
Because the guy knows his . The guy is a great analyst and the only analyst I care for. I also like Fred Carter.
get back to us when the heat are champs in anything but their own minds. they tinkered waaaay too much this offseason. they really need to resign damon jones
wtfpwned
A poor beaten Shaq, with 2 defensive liabilities...hmmmmmmmmmm...
See ya next year...maybe if you get that far.
Only TRUTHS from last year:
Pistons beat the Heat.
Spurs beat the Pistons.
What is this discussion about?
You act like Shaq is god and unstoppable..
unfortunately at his age he isnt... and he showed how insecure he was when he brought in the other egos.
Its spelled liar. Just an FYI.
I was waiting for someone to correct me if wrong... too lazy to google, thanks I'll fix it.
right there. defense wins championships. end of story.San Antonio might be the better defensive team but there is no defense that can slow down a 300+ pounder attacking the basket. Just get out the way Mohammad so you won't get hurt. Let Shaq dunk it.
Yeah, Shaq lost the past three years because he wanted to, right?
Or are you going to blame that all on his poor little hurt toe?
For a bigman, he sure can be a pansy sometimes.
I didn't know it could get any worse than ESPN!![]()

Why did the spurs get owned by the lakers last year than. This is no regular offensive team that relies on perimeter shooting. This is a Shaq team. There is no answer for a Shaq team.
Oh, and bragging about the fact that your best guy, your supposedly 'unstoppable center', is better than our 8th option is a real strong argument.
Then again, this was the same guy who got owned on defense by Kevin Willis in 2003.![]()
STOP letting yalls chodes explode over what SAS says
I also like Fred Carter.
Okay, this guy can't be for real. I'm gonna go ahead and assume this is an act.
Funny though.
ESPN has SAS because he attracts attention.
Look how much attention he has in this forum.
No matter how much you hate him or love him he gets paid from that.
didn't you know sas is a comidian. just laugh![]()
Ah, this year's thigh bruise acted retroactively and that was what stopped Shaq from winning in 2003 and 2004 as well as 2005. Interesting theory. However, I think we see a problem in your theory (see above). BTW, Duncan's two bad, sprained ankles didn't stop us from beating the Pistons.
Da nile ain't just a river in Egypt.
Shaq is too old to really put up a monster game, the type needed for the Heat to win it all. Bowen, Manu and Finley can guard Wade. Oh, wait, Antoine Walker is open from half court with only 23 seconds left on the clock. Walker is a black hole. The ball will go in to him and never come back out. He'll jack that ball up from anywhere regardless of the shot clock or the situation in the game.
Shaq can't play or won't play the pick and role. We love to run the pick n roll up top with Manu and Timmy. They have no answer to that. Certainly, Shaq can't guard Timmy. Neither can anyone else on their team.
and why did the Heat with Shaq lose to the Pistons?
Who won the championship the last three years? All great defensive teams that were united.
BTW, defense alone won't do it. However, Ginobili's game improved exponentially. In 2003, we had great defense and two great players in Duncan and Robinson. In 2004, we had just lost David. Hence, it was Timmy alone plus our defense. In 2005, Ginobili became part of a great duo. So, our defense which was one of the two best in the league, plus Timmy and Ginobili as tremendous offensive threats.
We won championships two of the last three years. The Heat haven't won any. Are you just making this stuff up as you go along?
Probably everybody but TPark already knew that. He is quoted the way that he spelled it because it adds a lot to have the misspelling in there!

Im suprised SAS didnt bust out the "A real brotha plays in Miami" card.
Hes the one that has said in the past that some of the Spurs black players werent "black" enough.
