answer: yes. It's their country. As in Afghanistan and Iraq, they can and will simply outwait invaders, while killing as many invaders as they can, until the invaders fail, as in Afghanistan and Iraq, and leave.

I'd say if we can get someone else's boots on the ground, air supports is just fine and dandy. Seems like that could happen in Yemen. Syria? Just an amazing cluster . Worse than Iraq considering all the competing and conflicting interests.
