Pretty sure AK still has family issues going on. Don't think he'll play again this season.

If Kirilenko does play again this season, it won't be with the Spurs. I had forgotten about the Messina thing and even if that were overlooked, Prince being traded to the Pistons to replace Singler means he won't be getting bought out, which means Kirilenko would be Clippers bound.

Can't believe he's already a bust. He was the 5th overall pick just 3 years ago.
he was a bust a month in his rookie year tbh.

I'd rather have AK than reggie williams. I'd rather have anyone over reggie williams.

Suns if they want him. Doubt the Spurs really talked much to him. Could see them having interest after JaMychal, though.

Who wants to make the 10+ page topic about us "having discussions" with Thomas Robinson?

Errors has zero potential to ever impact a game. Not really sure what Robinson brings but I'll take the unknown.

I mean I guess in a vacuum I'd take Robinson, but I'm not sure it's worth waiving Ayres just to sign Robinson.

I'm probably delusional but I'd love to see the Spurs take a chance on Robinson.

No buyout candidate is going to be "the savior", but Thomas is one that offers some intrigue. He was just a 20yr old sop re with one meaningful season at Kansas when he came out. He's a freak athlete with a high motor who flashed a mid-range game back in college.

Could easily be a late bloomer in terms of his development. At worst, he's Ayers 2.0.

Either way, he's definitely worth the interest.

If Robinson can hit that mid range j with consistency, he'd definitely be a great player (a la serge ibaka) with more athleticism...I think. No way he comes here though. I don't think there would be any room for him. Unles pop just doesn't play bonner at all (which is highly unlikely as of late)

Since when would waiving Ayres be a bad thing? I would wave him for nothing infact

That last part there surely would be sweet man... LESS BONNER, one can dream.

AK47 Waived as expected. "There are a handful of teams stateside still interested in pursuing him, sources say, but Kirilenko has not yet made it clear whether he's prepared to consider fresh NBA offers." A phone call from the front office won't hurt asking if he wants to stay in the USA til June. Why not pick up the phone and see what he says.

True I was more talking from the FO point of view since they'd still have to pay Ayres + give a new deal to Robinson. It's easy for us to say " yeah just waive Ayres and let's pick someone else up" because we're not the ones having to pay Ayres $1.8 million to not even play on the team.
