You know what, Flash Gordon - you are an ass. There were 1000's and 1000's of people that COULDN'T get out. Sure - some people were stupid and stayed in their homes, but many couldn't leave - 100K didn't have transportation, some were too old, or sick. And 10's of thousands were TOLD to go to the SuperDome and Convention Center as a safe haven.. the conditions there were horrific (they ignored the CC people for 4 days).hey, everyone was told to get out of the city. you are a dumbass if you didn't.
Bottomline is that they are DYING and our government (at all levels) needs to speed things up and get them the out of there.
