Isn't Kyle a bit heavy for a SF? I know he naturally doesn't have much quickness on the defensive end, but maybe if he cut a bit of weight, or hit the weight room, he could at least get burned less. I think Kyle will be huge for the Spurs in a couple years.
He can handle the ball and not be a PG. I like the idea of him playing on the wing going forward. With Green and Leonard starting he could come in guard the lesser of the two opposing wings while Green or KL guards to better one. He would have big size advantage over most guards and some SFs in the post. Maybe some PF as well but he really hasn't played any in the NBA.
He could stand to slim down a bit but his length and size could he minimize his lack of quickness. He gets a lot of deflections because of his length. Most SFs play ,heavily, off ball anyways. Alot of the work is not losing track of his man off ball.
Magic rarely guarded PGs. That was left to Michael Cooper and then Byron Scott.
I don't think if he lost a little or even a LOT of weight that he'll ever be quick. I think he needs to go the other way. Once he loses the baby fat he was carrying, they should put him on a weight program and make him a PF.
If he's Diaw 2.0, then why is he a 3? In a playoff roster situation, Diaw is the non-Duncan big. Doesn't that make Anderson the non-Splitter/Baynes/Bonner big? Is that rocket science? Also Anderson is too wide eyed. He needs a good dose of crushed spirit, like the spurs need Matt Bonner.
...And Reggie Willams. Which is oddly enough, exactly half as much as the spurs don't need Thomas Robinson, Malcolm Thomas, or JaMichael Green.
