No ing , dude is 38, weighs less than his prime and can't jump or bend his ing knee.
Obviously it shouldn't be the centrepiece of the offense, but to act like it doesn't have some value is ridiculous.
That one handed fade away post up is one of his least efficient post moves of all time, even in his prime. Many of his post ups fail because of that, against Ibaka last year he actually drove his body into him and attacked him, that is the type of post player TD needs to be, not that pansy version. He's been going to that low % shot more as he's gotten older, less likely to draw a double doing that, so his post ups don't have as much value.

This...tbh.
Td only posts up when the team is not making any baskets. Is not the spurs of old 4 down all the time.. but yea sometimes he sucks at it.
Apa alt trying to do some damage control after OP gets humiliated. He's not even cool on his favorite site anymore. That's gotta be painful for him.
I think it's always good to probe the post because you can draw fouls and get their bigmen in foul trouble. Also against OKC's midgets in the WCF and Haslem in game 5 it was absolutely the right move. You have to be able to punish teams for going small against you.
Duncan post-ups are one of the least efficient options in the NBA, tbh, but I can't agree with the OP..Tim is the only reason this franchise is irrelevant, he has earned some mandatory touches IMO..
I lol'd
ting on him on here...
... And now you're amazed by how he changed his game lol, got
bump
OP proving to be one of the worst basketball minds on the board yet again.
Nothing to see here, move along

This is where advanced stats etc can tell a story, but not the whole story. In Duncan's case it is extremely clear he limits himself to like 2 post moves and 1 counter move nearly the entire season. But over the last few years, he has consistently upped his amount of moves in the playoffs. He is still very good in the post when he puts in full effort...
That said, I don't understand the lack of Diaw post ups when the Spurs can't run the offense for ..
This. In the playoffs last season he was very solid and dependable on the block.
Regular season reps is not something to give up when you will likely depend on it in the playoffs.
According to OP, he makes 3 out of 81 of his post ups....![]()
krew is furiously starting and bumping Parker threads to push applesauce's Duncan threads down.
