By all standards, América is only one continent. Only in United States of Amurica, North América is a separate continent. Just to elucidate, just try to figure the olympic rings according to amurican standards. Well, if you use the tectonic plates as parameters, parts of Califórnia aren't north américa. There are several tecnonic plates there: the pacific plate, Juan de Fuca Plate, Cocos Plate and the north américa plate .
He said underwater continents. I corrected him. I'm glad you like google. Already smarter than 90% of ST.

Did you read the link I posted? China, India, England and Australia also consider North and South America different continents.
Sorry ElNono, but between 195 independent countries, only four (five) consider South and North América different continents. Mostly from British influence like Austrália and India, former colonies. It's like the metric system vs imperial standards. Just an anglo idiosyncrasy.

Jesus H. Christ.....Who the cares how many continents different countries say there are? Let's get back to talking bout Da Banger......

Baynes had a uva game yesterday. Thought his rim protection was excellent. Also, he's one of the only guys on the team that you can count on to make freebies. I don't know if his upside is higher than Splitter.....but the way Tiago has been playing.....I'm starting to question myself.

Aron Baynes shooting 84.3% from the line

4th highest on the team. 3rd really....because Reggie Williams is 100%.

Only trailing Patty Mills (87.1%) and LDN (85.2%).

I grew up learning that the original 5 continents were Africa, N. America, S. America, Australia, Eurasia. I believe that Antarctica at first was not considered a continent(much like Greenland). Europe and Asia were not separate until later because they shared the same landmass. Which would make more sense than the two Americas being one continent.

The world according to the Amuricans.

Clearly not made by an American.

    The Americas are more like:

    Canada
    USA
Mexico (everything south of the US)

Also don't give a about the rest to break them into that many subcategories.

For future reference, if there is a successful NZ athlete or movie star that has visited Australia for atleast 5 days, then Australia has official claimed them.

Yeah, I've heard Australia (the continent) being referred to as Oceania before, probably to encompass New Zealand and the other island nations.

I always thought that every country belonged to one continent or another, actually.

And didn't Baynes wear the Australian flag after the le in June?
Australian, New Zealander...that's like Queens and the Bronx...pretty much the same.

They list India, Pakistan and Mongolia, but lump China as part of Eastern Asia...lol. Judging from this map it was made by a product of the California public school system.

I grew up with the 6 continent model, like the 9 planet model I guess.

Though if China, India, and the US use 6 continents (or 7 including Antarctica), that's over 40% of the world's population, so even if it is technically a minority view, it isn't a tiny one.
