I have numerous times stated the importance of starting splitter.
Lol keep this real and look at who we played during that time.

johnschuhmann: Since Splitter was put back in the lineup (2/27), Spurs' starters have outscored opponents by 41 points per 100 poss: http://t.co/dJwtS1LwVn

Link above shows how dominant that Tiago-Tim-Kawhi-Danny-Enrique lineup is. I filtered for minimum 198 minutes played (that lineup has played 199 ).
    lol overrated bench

Good to see our starting unit playing so well together. When the rotation shortens up in the playoffs it'll mean more dominant stretches. All we need now is Manu to come back healthy/rested and Patty to get into a groove. Boris is already there, and you can always count on CoJo and Baynes for spot duty.

    Its all about matchups.

Even Diaw starts depending on matchup
Against most of the teams in the league that matchup works. But I agree the Spurs have to go with what works like starting Diaw in the Finals.

Seeing Tiago playing at his best, moving his ass, looking for his shot, being aggressive is the best news for the Spurs in a while tbh

But can he score on or guard Draymond Green? Looked fine on Millsap but we did give up like 5 open threes to him. Tiago will be huge in every series except what's shaping up to be the only one that matters.

Atlanta really does not have a great D. I am convinced the best of the West with rim defenders are better than the East in the playoffs. If we make it to the finals, we are in great shape to win it.

Atlanta had plenty of motivation to win this game. Coming back home, lost 2 in a row, playing big brother, Bud gets pissed and thrown out, they were not taking the game lightly. For a team out of nowhere, a win here is a big confidence booster. Cleveland took the win very seriously, it took everything they had to beat us. If it was a perennial winner I would use the coasting excuse.

Tiago is finally healthy and looking like last year's player. The one who was amazing first two rounds against Dirk and LA.

The Hawks were coming off a 6-game road stretch..teams generally struggle in their first game back home, tbh, and they've already clinched 1st in the East..

Spurs match up well with them, regardless, but yesterday's win was a little skewed..

This should have been the game that they aimed to win after losing 2 straight.

    off with that thinking
    ^ this

We smashed them at home. We are better than they are. Period.

Yup...the Cavs threw everything they had at us, including a record, never-to-be-repeated outburst from Kyrie Irving, and we were one missed FT away from winning that game.

I'm not worried about the Cavs in the Finals, should we get that far, not one bit. If we make the Finals, it's ring #6 for us, guaran- ing-teed.

Diaw owned Green in the 2013 playoff series, so I'm not worried about him. The thing about GSW is that the Splash Sisters can both go for 40 in any given game, which is enough to give them one or two wins in a series.
