There was complete silence from the pit during the descent. If it was deliberate and terrorism related I'm sure we would've heard a 'praise Allah' somewhere in there. The depression angle is kind of hard believe, I mean why not just put a bullet in your head?

Does the pit lock automatically or it has to be locked from inside? If it's the former, the pilot probably lost consciousness imo...maybe a drop in pressure in the pit or a heart attack/stroke.

SIDENOTE: other than burning or starving to death. Imagine the scenes of the pilot screaming and pounding on the door while you can feel the plane descending to the ground
