I doubt Aldridge and Gasol leave their teams. Monroe, on the other hand specifically signed the Piston's qualifying offer so he can be a restricted FA this offseason. He is the most realistic possibility but I don't know if Pop will want him. Monroe's still developing his jumper and isn't that great on defense. He is only 24 though so there is still time to develop. But as good as he can get, he'll never anchor a team's defense like Duncan or Gasol.

Gasol is the best fit but he has ties to Memphis and the Grizzlies might be in a better position than the Spurs if Duncan and Ginobili retire next year.

Spurs still have to clear the hurdle that not many FA wants to play in San Antonio. Probably better to just tank and build through a lottery draft pick like they did with Leonard, Duncan, and Robinson.
Yeah, I wouldnt spend max money on a big if it's not Gasol/Aldridge. Would rather add a shot blocker (Chandler/Asik) to pair next to Splitter and create a beast defensive team. I think Splitter is capable of putting up 10-15 ppg to help offset the loss of Duncan's offense.

With Green/Kawhi, where would he fit? No way he's taking a bench role. Unless you plan on moving Kawhi to full-time PF or not re-signing Green, I don't know why we'd get Middleton.

Kawhi will get the max and hopefully, Danny agrees to a 36 in 4 contract...Belli, Baynes, Ayres, TD, Manu, Bonner are all UFA..Joseph is RFA but he's probably going to ask for a trade to improve his game.

I thought CoJo is UFA. Same with Kawhi. They are both drafted in 2011.

    It's just a pipedream..

I was thinking middelton would be Kawhi and Danny's backup if Manu retires...a 6th man.

We need a pg and a power forward. Assuming tim retires. A young pg who can get buckets. Defense should be set with Kawhi/Green/Splitter. We aren't going to find anything close to a tim duncan quality defender in a power forward So again a highly skilled offensive player would be nice.

Kawhi/Green/Middleton would be a nasty wing rotation and a monster small-ball lineup

doubt the bucks would let him go though. he and giannis could be a good pairing for a long time

They also have Parker who is injured, they're insanely deep at the three spot (Giannis, Middleton, Parker and Dudley!). Bucks might not match if offered a 4 year 32M deal.

    1- Aldridge
    2- Marc Gasol
    3- Kevin Love

They will match any offer on Kawhi and try to lock Danny. I think TD and Manu will go for one more year.
    Agree with this.

I wonder how well Love would do in our system? I think offensively he'd be perfect, but he's never played D in his life... Can we spend max money on someone like that?

More important apol ... I heard you are a free agent as well after this season. Hopefully you follow the money ... Lakersground really needs a "max poster"

Bring over Bertans. Secure carroll and Matthews, sell a dream to Aldridge and we'll be okay post Duncan.
Bertrans just tore his ACL. Won't see him over here for a while.

If Tim and Manu come back, there is NO money for anyone but our own FAs. None.

keep ours is first and foremost, Kiwi and Verde return, then LA (Aldridge) signs, then we bird rights TD at a reduced rate would be perfect. Adding LA to this team would be incredible, one last year from Timmy to shoot for the threepeat and show LA how we do things in San Antonio, playing the Admiral role. I want no part of Kevin Love, his Cavs stint shows me he is a big fish in a little pond not ready for prime time, seemingly weak. Gasol is ok but I would much prefer LA to Gasol.

    Sadly a RFA.
If Kawhi re-sign with the spurs, Middleton will demand max or near max. He is already evaluated at 8 mil.
