I already kind of think he's taking on that role. It's obviously hard to go from 1st option to a role player but I think he's doing okay. I never expect Tony to go off anymore. I just hope he plays well.
45 Mil role player

Better than trying to be enrique tbh. Got to cut your losses sometime.
He's making $12.5 million coming off another championship as the team's only All-Star, All-NBA player, and scoring and assist leader throughout the regular season and playoffs. We're not taking about guys like Rudy Gay and Deron Williams and Amare Stoudemire who are decent players making $20+ million a year on non-contending teams. Those are bad contracts. Tony's isn't bad. It will depend on if he can still lead the team in all those areas the next 3 years like he has for the past several. This year he was injured and is playing less minutes and is almost still leading the team in scoring.
And I'm pretty sure it's $43 million.
If Tony's a role player, then everyone is.
How can you not love Parker. He's not perfect but goddammit he's ours. A loyal mother er. I back him all the way.
Then he s your wife. Lol
Something to worry about in the future =/= "observational facts" tbh
Also, have you seen the future cap projections? His salary won't be in a couple years. It's not like he's Kobe literally eating half of your cap space
And threatens to walk to the ty Knicks in free agency. And publicly throws his teammates and organization under the bus.
fan fiction
Good article.
No doubt.
I was furious with the Spurs when they gave Manu $7M after 6. I mean, he was a net negative for the Spurs in that series. But, when he came back and played a key role in their run to the championship I was happy to eat crow.
Parker is playing legit basketball and that's a good thing for the Spurs' chances at a repeat. Let go of your pride and irrational hatred. And just enjoy being a Spurs fan.
Or STFU and GTFO.
Funny thing was if pop benches manu at any point in that series, we win. Pop's stubbornness lost us a series. Pop's stubbornness might show up in the playoffs when he sticks to the old guns even if they are playing garbage.
The fans are correct in their assessments many times. We don't all need to be sheep got.
Fans can also be wrong, like I was with Manu and like Ap is with Tony. He just needs to sack up and admit he overreacted to a poor half-season of play. I suspect he'll continue his pointless schtick though.
I noticed a couple of times this year (probably when his leg was bothering him) that he was copying Steve Nash's style of walking around down in the paint, dribbling past and around picks and bigs until something revealed a pass or scoring opportunity. I used to marvel watching Nash do that , wondering how he got away with it. Speed is a great advantage, but Nash showed it wasn't the only way to play PG in the NBA
You lion b.
parker has been the most loyal Spur in franchise history. Never tested free agency so the Knicks talk is just talk.
Without the outburst the Spurs stay gettin embarrassed with 8 and sweep for the coming years.
Second greatest spur in franchise history.![]()
