Carp.
Mahi-Mahi....mmmmmmmmmm
The only fish I eat is salmon. But it has to be grilled---cooked very well done and dry.
Hmmm. Flash seared pepper crusted ahi tuna rare. Crab stuffed fresh flounder. Parmesan crusted mahi. Grilled fresh redfish on the half s covered with thick and chunky salsa.
Tilapia sucks. Mealy flesh with zero flavor of its own.
For fried fish? Cold water haddock fillets. Be careful of imitations.
Tilapia or Salmon.
im not from Miami
Dorado, Dolphin, common names...
Southern Flounder, Speckled Trout
Freshwate: Crappie
This is what I catch that is excellent.
Redfish on the half s grilled... Tremendous
I got recipes for all of the above that will make a normal human change religions. Those of you who gave Tilapia as an answer, you have got to try crappie, there is no comparison.
Been a long time since I had BBQ's sturgeon. You know, 1 inch thick slices...
Uhh...
You can't keep those in most of the States they live (cold deeper rivers)
They are very rare now.
Yep.
Years back, my family went fishing for them.
Great eating!
Bon Appé
You should watch salmon confidential tbh
One can can catch a veritable load of Tilapia out of Braunig or Calaveras Lake right here with a flippn cast net.
But of course they are power plant lakes so Mouse will find a chemtrail leading out of the lake to your home. I don't doubt the China stuff though...
Salmon and red snapper, grilled or sautéed. Catfish only if it has a really good batter or breading. Whiting if I can get it.
Swordfish is my favorite.
Tilapia is trash.
I'd put Albacore in fromt of bluefin with yellowtail bringing up the rear. For fighting ability I'd put the YT or wahoo back up there. I would put Calico Bass in the mix for eating versatility. Sheephead is pretty tasty, too.
salmon is the fish of the gods imo.
but as far as taste, nothing better than a tuna steak or mahi.
flounder is an acquired taste, but if prepared right and fresh it's the s
i also really liked barramundi when i lived in aus
and to address a previous point...
i grew up on the texas coast and we called it dolphin tbh
They should taste similar according to you they both evolved from the same rock.
Braunig and Calaveras Lake aren't major suppliers of Tilapia for HEB ,Walmart, and the restaurant and fast food industry.
Don't let your mouse hating obsession interfere with misinformed innocent parents from knowing the facts.
Why do think many doctors recommend pregnant women don't eat fish
Yep.
thats what Texans usually call it.
Well I don't buy overpriced commercial fish from a get dem store when I can get it fresh mouse man.
Still short of protein for your nervous system to function Ya rodential ankle biter. You of course know that all these stores are notorious for selling you incorrectly labeled fish.
So why would a good parent even buy the stuff, unless it's whole and you know how to identify it. And even then, how old is it. Tsk tsk...
And your last statement is quite obvious. Heavy metals often biomagnify in fish. Heavy metals like Hg are notorious for causing problems with nervous system development with the fetus. So now you have your excuse for inability to reason.

10 seafood subs utions
In 2011, a Boston Globe investigation exposed widespread seafood mislabeling at restaurants and stores across Massachusetts. State and federal officials called for better oversight of the fish industry. But a year later, a new round of DNA tests found that not much has changed. Click through the gallery of restaurants and supermarkets that repeatedly served fish with the wrong species name

BTW, the Tilapia don't eat the sewage. The algae is fertilized by the sewage and the fish eat the algae. It's called organic farming just like using manure on tomato plants. There is no credible science behind the "sewage" scare on tilapia as it doesn't transfer to the flesh of the fish. Now I am not saying they aren't subject to contamination by mishandling in processing but the flesh is fine when it is harvested.
Tilapia still sucks, though. It's just mealy and tasteless.
