No parent needs to respond with that amount of force period. I have a 6, 4, and 1 year old. I do believe in the old fashioned spanking, but only when it is absolutely necessary to learn a lesson quickly. For example, trying to run into the street, or sticking a fork in the toaster, etc. It is so much better to spank, then to have the worst happen because your child doesn't respect you enough to listen.

Serious question.....were you abused as a child?.....i ask because ive noticed the only times you've truly been serious in your posting...no bull ting, no hyperbole, no nonsense, no joking, no race baiting...is when people show real signs of child abuse...just like in the other thread where The african woman was severly abusing that child....you were dead serious against it..i was surprised you showed a modi of humanity despite the race of the kid....
Either you're a social worker or you were abused as a kid....either way its nice to see a decent side of you for a change...
