I think there's an argument to be made that in his own way, Duncan is MORE compe ive than a Jordan or Kobe because winning matters more to him than being "the man."

Those guys were fierce, almost insane compe ors. But they also had such huge egos, that they would sabotage their own team's overall performance because they had to be the main option on that team. Duncan wants to contribute, and lead, but recognizes that it doesn't have to always be through usage and numbers of shots. He wants to win, period.
    Yep, tbh..

And while I agreed with Kobe taking all the money he could, taking that contract ended his "winning over everything" reputation..

I don't do all-time lists anymore, tbh, too many variables to compare players in different eras..

    For this generation, I'd go:

    1. Duncan
    2. Shaq
    3. Lebron

51 pts, 20 rbds, 6 assts, 5 blocks in the last 2 games for 38-year (soon to be 39-year old), big fundamental .

    Duncan/ Ginobili / Parker's 539th win.
A win away to TiE Bird/McHale/ Parish record.
    :

Asked if he got a word from the president of the AARP when he tumbled into a couple of WWII vets in the front row during the game :

    DUNCAN : 'I've been accepted? "

    LOL career after NBA?

Exactly. Timmy is just as compe ive, but far more strategic (and insidious) than those guys.
