This is definitely a must-win game and the series needs to end as soon as possible with the Rockets likely finishing off the Mavs in short order. Can't let those ers rest too much.

What I find interesting is how the fans for the Spurs also believe the refs are out to get them. The Clippers fan base is the same. Refs won't decide this series at all..good defense, precise shooting, and ball movement will.

Every fanbase believes the refs are out to get them, even Lakers fans..

Very true. I think it comes from fans not wanting to take responsibility for the loss. By blaming the refs you can forget that your own team didn't play defense . It removes the accountability

I have low expectations for the game, hardly any outside of "the Spurs will play better". There's just no way in they duplicate their Game 1 performance. 30% shooting, barely over 50% FTs, horrid transition defense, all in one game? And in that game, the Spurs remained compe ive until around the 7 minute mark in the 4th quarter?

The Clips are good, and may go up 2-0. But I can't imagine a world in which the Spurs just roll over and die in their first round series of a le defense, and that's what it'll take for the Clippers to win, IMO.

The refs may not be out to "get" a team, but they influence the way the game is played. If they keep stopping play, that will benefit a half-court team and hurt a good transition team. If they swallow the whistle and allow both teams to play, that favors the rough and possibly dirty team. They may also get caught up in the home crowd and try to make up an unfavorable call later with a bad call against the road team.

The refs may not try to affect the game, but they will in some fashion.

and he was suspended indefinitely because of it. Since then, after being re-instated, he's been very fair for the Spurs (probably because we watch him closely). He also doesn't cater to the home crowd and seems to feed on their booing, so that works in our favor.

Ron Garretson has been around for forever ('88). He favors the home team, but not by much. He once ejected Rasheed Wallace for staring at him too long.

I don't know about the other refs, but this should be a fairly called game.

Joey tends to help road teams, actually... not like we ever get home cooking anyway, but still.

Just win. Don't think the Spurs can handle an 0-2 deficit.
