It was an excellent game from Manu, I thought his hustle was crucial to the bench not blowing the lead too badly when they were missing shots.
Always the negative got I see.

27. Seems like it's only possible if we make a deep playoff run. Here's the top ten:
385 - Ray Allien
320 - Reggie Miller
294 - Manu Ginobili
292 - Kobe Bryant
285 - Derek Fisher
267 - Chauncey Billups
261 - Robert Horry
248 - Paul Pierce
236 - Jason Kidd
233 - Lebron James
Reggie Miller is the ONLY one who doesn't have a ring on the list.
love Manu but they would've won perfectly fine even without him playing at all. Nice that he had a decent game though.
Nice game by Manu, it could have ended easily with 10 assists as most open looks he generated were a miss, but anyways good game.
I think this kind of games are very good for him and for the Spurs, as most likely the Clippers will now change to a Dallas like defense ad in that case he will have to score more on the pick n roll. Good that he is not forcing things either, and the blocks were great. Loved how griffin cried foul when there was nothing.
Lame take
I also think officials didn't show any respect and he had thus troubles building confidence to attack the basket. Still, he handled that pretty well, didn't go 2/10 or something.
And the open looks, man, come on, you have to be blind not to see he makes the bench so much more effective. Bonner, Belli... remove manu and all the lead built by the starters vanishes in 5 minutes.
The defense was also very good, IMO, not only the blocks, it didn't looked at all like he is 37. AT ALL.
More impact than Enrique tbh
To all those who are saying that he was a non factor or the game was already out of hand, we might be singing a different tune had the Clippers made a comeback. He kept the Clippers' defense honest by providing the Spurs' shooters good looks. And it also might have given Clippers momentum had he not blocked those shots. (Granted, we might never know that.)
Our three PGs made a total of 3 assists. Manu also hustled for those blocks at the age of 37. There are YouTube videos of those blocks.

He played Crawford straight up a few times and looked extremely quick on his feet, didn't fall for any pumpfakes, dribble moves or counters. Was impressive. The difference in Manu's man to man defense in a playoff game vs regular season is quite startling![]()
Has he retired six months early or something?
At some point the realization he can't score is gonna' hurt his facilitation of the offense. Defenses are figuring this out.
