Well let's hope not, that would be a horrible way to start the season.
Our only common foes from last year were Michigan
OSU 37 - Mich 21
Texas 38 - Mich 37
And Okla St.
Texas 56 - Okla St. 35
OSU 33 - Okla St. 7
Is your defense your achilles heel?
Texas will not be denied. Here is an excerpt from a story in ESPN:
This team, like the Spurs, is on a mission, it was built to beat OU, and it is great enough to run the table this year.Young has been talking to his teammates about this game for months. When the players trickled back to campus for summer conditioning, he left them a written message in the locker room: "If you want to beat Ohio State, meet me here every night at 7 p.m."
He is now the undisputed leader of a Texas team searching for its first outright national le since 1969. The Longhorns shared the le in 1970.
"This is Vince's team," said defensive end Tim Crowder.
This game will be a laugher for the UT fans in the 4th Q.

Is our Defense our achilles heel? Dude! Are you a ing idiot? Do you not know anything about College Football? Texas Defense is one of the best in the nation.![]()
The Buckeye defense will be tough to run on today.
Oh yeah baby.
The question wasn't direct to those with IQ's below sea level (that would be you) or those with no knowledge of football (you again), my fault for not noting that.
You gave up 72 points in the 2 games which comes up to 36 points per game.
That's great defense?Okay... we'll fly right by your posts in the future.

You wanna talk last year: Texas allowed 17.9 a game, Ohio st. allowed 18.3 a game. Texas lost their D cordinator, but brought in Auburn's Gene Chizik. I'm feeling pretty good about the D. Hey I forget, who lost to Northwestern 33-27 last yearThat's right, bad games happen, so don't base your predictions on anomalies.
No cecil, I didn't want to talk last year. I was noting that you gave up lots of points (72) to out 2 common opponents and based on that I was looking for insight from a fan with knowledge about the Longhorn defense.
Nothing more to it than that. The game starts in 5 1/2 hours so I'll get a nice first hand look.![]()
gimme the loot
i wouldnt give a if youre pregnant, im takin baby rings and the #1 mom pendant
I told you that UT would not be denied.
The game was close, I underestimated Ohio State at home, as they played good football. Texas had poor field position all game long, but their D held when they had to and Vince Young played great.
UT will win it all this year...no doubt about it.
Ohio State wins by 1 point, or Texas wins

Geez, what a choke job by Tressel. Sitting on the lead gets you beat.
UT is the better team, that is why they won. Had this game been in Austin, it would have been a blowout.
No, they won because Tressel stopped throwing passes in the third and started mickey mousing around with his QB rotation when the backup had them rolling.
I agree with you though, tu would have won in Austin, probably by 10-15.
I bet 1000
chicken feed.

Well the game is over now and it seems as YOU ARE STILL THE IDIOT! Texas #1!![]()
How did you like Texas not allowing Ohio State any TDs in the Red Zone when they were there a lot because of 3 turnovers?![]()
Damn it! I turned off the game at the beginning of the 4th. From the looks of the highlights, the UT defense stepped up big. Props to Young for hanging in there.
