I wasn't even upset about it. I didn't think we would go far before the playoffs. Even if we barely squeaked by we wouldn't have won 3 more series.

It was the god damn classiest loss ever.
Spurs aren't selfish. We don't rely on a guy like harden making bad iso v bailout after bailout.
We don't rob lesser teams of their stars for evil super teams
We didn't hurt major nba sponsorships like and kia, state farm,
We let balmer get some ROI.
We taught kawhi that championships aren't easy.
Everything about this season was prefect expect for the spurstalk trolls who tried too hard (it wasn't all bad) and the not winning. But everything else was great. Rings, a woman coach, Parker getting a legacy contract, stats benchmarks being attained, heartbreaking endings all season long.
If the team lost on a missed 3 or layup then yes.
But that phantom foul on Paul and the McCutcheon gift all in the last minutes made it extra hard to let go.
True. If we just lost outright, no biggie. But that foul call on Duncan was bull . He didn't touch Paul. That's not a call you make to decide a game. That's not a call you make under a minute in a tied playoff game. It was . It wasn't a foul. It's not right. The McCutchen Coocoo Clock was bull too. Why does there always have to be ref controversy when the Spurs lose? It's almost better to get your ass kicked because then you know you just didn't have it that game...Not lose by 2 in a controversial manner.
