    1. Spurs didn't play at 100% when they needed to
    2. The whole Clippers team went on a shooting tear throughout the series; not sure if it's streaky or just good, but they couldn't seem to miss shots throughout
    3. cp3 got a bit more clutch

THE BIGGEST FACTOR is BLAKE GRIFFIN. He shot like 95% of his mid range jumpers, and improved his ft shooting percentage to 70 from 50. That's a pretty admirable move in my book tbh, because he could've been lazy and not work on his ft. If this was the case, Spurs would've been able to hack both DJ and Blake easily. He improved leaps and bounds this season, and I have to give him respect for that.

Not sure why people keep saying we went on a shooting tear, we were ice-cold from three for most of the series and weren't making uncontested shots at a significantly better clip than the Spurs

Both teams were pretty evenly matched this year, judging from the 2-2 season series record and the playoff series going the full 7 games with most of the games being extremely close. As cliché as it sounds, the series really did ultimately come down to who made more big plays down the stretch in Game 7, and the Clippers made more of those plays than the Spurs.

Green never found his shot and Kawhi went cold. Either of those things changes and we'd all be saying lol same ole Clippers.

We struggle against athletic bigs with a reliable midrange game. Always have, always will.

We had a chance to get Green going in game 7 but TP froze him out too many times.

Also the Clippers had all the best free throw shooters in the league on their team and we used to much hack-a-dj.

Tony Parker couldn't even come close to matching Chris Paul like he used to. Leading up to the series all the analysts said it was a "toss up" between the two which as Spurs fans we knew was complete bull . I knew Paul was going to eviscerate us and Tony would struggle. He's just not the same. We no longer had a go to guy to create penetration which would in turn lead to ball movement to the open guy. Green was a corpse on offense and Griffin was just an absolute monster we had no answer for. With all those factors we still almost won.

Blake Griffin played like one of the five best players in the league, while two of our five starters (Parker and Splitter) had bad series coming off of injuries. Despite both of those scenarios, we had a 7 game series that came down to the last second. If Griffin doesn't become Triple-Double Man, or Parker and Splitter were healthy, Spurs probably win again.
