Thing about the '90s NBA is that most people at the time knew it was a garbage product and talked openly about it, yet now it's supposed to be some kind of golden age of the game.
But those 73-69 Knicks-Heat fightfests were classic

I agree tbh..
MJ, Wilkins, KJ, Clyde, Hakeem, Kemp, etc were not athletic
Fratello and slow ball were a big part of that ...No it wasn't good as 80's or 00's but it wasn't as bad as some say
The 80s with the lakers and the celtics were widely known as the golden age of basketball and allowed the league to really take off after the ISO and drug filled 70s.
I really haven't heard the 90s being known as the high point of basketball. The leagues offense got so bad that it experimented with the shorter three point line which absolutely backfired.
There was no question that the league was trying to market jordan and cash out on him that they refused to make any changes that will open up the game and in turn (likely) limit the dominance of the Bulls and jordan.
90s ball was perfect for jordan and I'm not sure of the Bulls can really three peat two separate times with that roster in today's game. They dominated the ISO ball game because of that personnel, but then the Bulls seem to have good passers and shooters in every position (except when Rodman was the PF).
90a ball was bad, the league didn't even try to hide that with all the rule changes and the open discussions about the offensive problems. However, they got star power that the league couldn't match since.
