Not at all. It's just moronic to want to trade the number 2 overall pick in a nice draft, for a career 42% shooter, a PG whose career best in assists WITH Aldridge on the team, is 6.5
Those tears

You think Lillard is a franchise player, worth 100 million?
He'll get max, whether he deserves it or not, it's another thing. He's way too young and he has room for improvement. Franchise player? it's all relative, I think he can be a face of a franchise, just like John Wall is. Doesn't put them in Lebron/KD or unibrow's universe, you get my point.
It's a pipe dream, but given our choices (D'Angelo Russell or Okafor) I'm not too excited with both prospects. Lottery is a crapshoot. I'd rather get an All Star caliber player and build from there. I personally like Lillard's intangibles. He lead the Trailblazers in most key advance metrics this year (WS/VORP/BPM) and even led the team in TS%. While he has flaws that's apparent in his 3 yrs in the league, the upside is still there.
You are way to impatient. Relax. We will get back to the top it just gonnna take longer than we want. But lets not up by trading for and then paying non legit stars max money. No to Love, Lillard etc. yes to unibrow, Durant, Westbrook, Blake etc. All Lillard and his ilk can lead us to is a 2nd round ass whuppin at best.
Nah, I'm not impatient. Impatient is supporting to gut a team and throw away assets for DMC. I can wait, I'm just not too confident with the direction of the team. The current Lakers management haven't been exactly wise when it comes to handing out contracts either ($48.5 for Kobe, $100 Mil offered to Melo) so a hypothetical scenario of giving it to an All Star third year player like Lillard isn't exactly the worst idea. Heck I'd rather spend it on someone young than say Aldridge, Dragic or Rondo. But it's moot and hypothetical.
Also, Blake and Westbrook aren't exactly world beaters.
Exactly,,,the cold hard reality is there are no "world beaters." That's why we (us & Media) keep reaching back for Jordan. Sure, Media tries with LeBron, but, they know. And we know, so it doesn't have a concrete foundation, so, it's just words and no deeds. Just symbolism and no substance.
