I would be so much easier for SA if they hadn't extended Parker seriously. I usually trust them, but it was a bad move.
they can sure as trade him. It's sad that the worst ing player on the roster in the playoffs will be one of the highest paid next season

What about giving both the vet min and ask tony to pay the rest.
That extension was such a bad move, 10 million a year would be bad but logical, 14 is.... what?

#Spurs @manuginobili will announce return-or-retire decision in his own column in Argentine newspaper 'La Nacion' "when the time comes"
Bye Manu. Thanks for everything![]()
this is the "una mas" column -face
I take that to mean the Spurs want him to wait. CIA Pop in action.
I agree with this wholeheartedly. This is why I think the Spurs are going to directly trade Splitter to Portland so that they can go over the cap to resign Green.
It's either trade Splitter to Portland and resign Green. Or no LMA and the Spurs keep Splitter and Green. No way the Spurs are going to lose both for LMA.
Dude, what did Manu in last year when in December and January, with all the injuries and Marco being out, Manu played major minutes at the beginning of the season, which he was worn down come playoff time.
I see the Spurs playing Manu very sparingly in the regular season. Like I said earlier, I wouldn't be surprise if their were road game he stay home and didn't travel with the team. Spurs are going to keep him fresh for his last playoff run.
I want to add, for those in about Marco, he played the 2nd most minutes for the Spurs in the 2014 championship run season. It was Manu and Splitter that save the Spurs ass against the Mavs.
That is why I didn't understand all the hate for Marco. It kept Manu fresh for the playoffs having him on the roster and playing in the regular season.
I'm all for Marco coming back.
But all that is just more reason why they can't pay him more than the minimum, really (which isn't a bad payday for a guy with Manu's tenure). They need that money for another rotation-caliber wing since Ginobili simply won't be there for most of the regular season.
If we can't re-sign Green I'm up for Marco being our starting SG this year. The guy is scrappy and not afraid to take the big shot.
so vanilla..
29 other starting SGs would be licking their chops and try putting up 50 against him. Or you'd be leaning on Kawhi a LOT to cover for his weaknesses.
duncan's a in fool to take even more of a discount with parker making $15 million. Damn that.
I have to see it as Duncan making Parker's salary and Parker getting Duncan's salary. No other way to be at peace with TP's over pay. I'm okay with Duncan being paid whatever because of all he's done for the franchise.
Tim's going to be paying the Spurs for a roster spot soon if he's not careful.
You have to admire Tim so much. The guy is still All-NBA for goodness sakes. He could still garner near-max deals if he wanted to.
