Lakers getting the free agent scraps that are left over after the relevant teams make their moves.

Hibbert is not a Free Agent dumbass..he's a top center in the league...it would be a nice pickup as long as we're not trading youth for the rental....

tammy is the one who trains with the dude in the off-season....so if you dont like his game blame Tammy

Sixers-West can't get anyone in free agency to play with Kobe so they become a dumping ground for players nobody wants... a.k.a Sixers East.

Bet they give up a pick as well

    Lopez: 65%

Would actually make sense for LA. One year cap rental they can get a pick out of. Plus Randle desperately needs to play next to a big rim protector

No way LA gets a meaningful pick - but they have to do something after striking out so badly. It's low risk. They are going to suck badly anyways, might as well get a guy with a chance he rebounds from his free fall and if not, he's gone.

But don't they lose their pick if it's not top 3?

Yep but we gonna suck next year with or without Hibbert plus he will waive trade kicker most likely otherwise we get a protected first rounder ...not a bad trade

15% trade kicker can be neutralized if they Sacre and another player for about $2M+

It's his KT year. Maybe we'll get THIS Hibbert? I could see him protecting the rim at a minimum along with Upshaw.

Lakers have nothing to lose, literally. They're better off with a one year rental and cut lose if he doesn't pan out.

It's a good move if you're looking to tank. What does that leave in cap room if the kicker is waived? $7m

It's all about rim protection. Hibbert was 5th in Rim FG% allowed last year and 1st the year before that.

Who's going to Indiana? If it's Nick Young, then it's a win scenario for Kupchak.

We're not giving up any core youth..thank god..this will be huge...Hibbert is better than DJ and s on LMA defensively
