    Writing Detroit off are yee.

No-name players. Davis was Indianas 2nd/3rd best big man, and is still a capable rebounder/defender when needed. Evans is a Tayshaun type player. He is bigger, not as good defensively, and can hit shots.

Well, Chauncey said the only reason they never played defense in Minnesota was that they didn't have many defensive players. He said that Flip is more than capable. But we will see about this. I also look to see Flip increase offensive output of the team.

Flip used zone as much as anyone his last couple of years in Minneapolis...much more than Larry Brown did.

    My rankings :
    1)Spurs (of course!)
    2)Pistons (no brainer)
    3)Mavs (Yes.. the Mavs.)
    4)Rockets
    5)Heat
    6)Pacers
    7)Suns
    8)Kings

In case you guys question why I ranked the Mavs 3rd, for the past few seasons, analysts have not been high on em and for each of those years, they have come back to bite naysayers in the butt. They have a lineup that could more than compensate for the loss of Finley IMHO. Fin's game fits the Spurs more nowadays.. he's no longer the deserving starter he was but he does make a heck of a sixth man.

1)San Antonio (59-23) - The NBA champions had an incredible summer, keeping all their key parts and adding Nick Van Exel and Michael Finley. They're the clear favorites to win the 2005-06 championship
    this is for InsideHoops
