I'd take Butler over Thompson too, Thompson has always been a regular season player and he was carried by Curry and Golden State's ridiculous depth this playoffs. Healthy Matthews was right in that discussion too.

Matthews is probably finished, but ya, Butler is easily better than Thompson..
Pshh Jalen is the epitome of a clown shoe.
Are you kidding, he's an obvious Spurs hater. Beyond that, his voice is like nails on a chalk board to me. I guess if his takes didn't suck I could overlook the rest.
Have to admit that irritated meEven if it was an attempt at a hyperbolic joke it really makes no sense.
No problems with Jalen. I like the Thunder's chances with everyone healthy, too. If the Warriors can get it done...
Can't stand whoever that other guy is.
Jesus F Christ those sunglasses...
virtual certainty that turned off fans won't vote Jordan onto all star team. I'd bet coaches may have a bias as well. His behavior was shameful.
How glorious would it be if it was painfully obvious he deserved to be there and the coaches wouldn't put him on the team? I guess it'd just be more fire for the Clips' "Us against the world" theme next season. Don't wanna make Choke Paul mad. He might make the 2nd round again

at Jalen calling LMA and DJ Free Agent 1a and 1b ... they are not even in the same conversation in terms of overall impact, offensive production, passing and making good decisions during winning time .... while DJ was considered a good defender, his defense was highly overrated tbh imo
at Jalen thinking KD will come back and be anything but a s of his former self after that injury
He was better in the Finals.
If Zach Lowe bolts out there to join Simmons Grantland might not be worth visit for basketball stuff
BIGGER LE NEXT TIME PLS
They always get wrong. In one of the last podcasts they said that Timmy never ever had any FA talk surrounding him.
OKC is the media faves for years now it seems, oh well.
I think he might actually be a genius of the broadcasting business. People don't remember Madden and Chuck for having better analysis than anyone else is capable of, lots of guys can do analysis. They get remembered because of memorable schtick that audiences remember. That's Jalen's whole deal -- the "champagning and campaigning", his stories from coming up through the game, all of that. Now that Simmons is gone, ESPN should just build a studio show around Jalen plus a couple of setup men.
Besides, people who are genuinely brilliant about the game go into coaching or front office work, not broadcasting anyway.
I had his rookie card. Even then, I knew it was worthless then and he proved it years later.
This, they are crybabies oh no he sucks, he picked against San Antonio...Let's not forget that it was Jalen Rose that told us LMA is coming to the Spurs long before the season ended.
I truly think it will be 4 teams that compete for the le next year SAS, OKC, Davs and one of the 3; LA Clippers, Memphis, Houston. And the healthiest team will win. Just like it happened this year. Which is why OKC is such a smart bet. They already had their fair of share of injuries, so chances are they will be healthy.

OKC will implode next year. Durant and Westbrook can't play together at the levels they want to play because one or the other has to take a back seat. We saw this time and time again but when one goes down with an injury the other goes into MVP mode.
Durant will try to prove he is the man when he comes back and Westbrook will not like it considering what he did during Durants injury. They will go at each other all next year knowing they both are free agents at the end of the season and they will both leave so they have nothing to lose but to out do one another and in the process hurt the team and cause friction and or a bad season.
In other words " screw it, I'm leaving anyway so let me show the world who's better"
I, for one, prefer it when the Spurs aren't the favorite. I hope everyone jumps on the OKC bandwagon and they get the majority of the pub.
The one thing I agreed with in this broadcast is when he said that the Spurs are really old and Pop is really going to have to manage their minutes well. Wouldn't be surprised to see Duncan sit a couple dozen games this season. Manu around 20 as well. That's why getting another Center is imperative imo.
I think there is a high chance that Durant will leave OKC if they didn't win it this year
I can't write off OKC. They have the greatest playoffs sixth man of all-time on their team.
