Oh I remembered that he said all the pieces acquired seem to fit better kawhis game. As HH has stated several times, Splitter clogged the line so kawhi couldn't really operate well. I wonder what wrinkles will be added to the system to fit better his game.

So, West has officially signed his contract according to this?

Surprised it didn't get more press.

I think everyone is just trying to be nice to Cory given what he's done for the franchise. But lets all be perfectly honest, CoJo never learned how to run the offense. That should be obvious to anyone who watched him play.
But but we would have won it all this year if he started!!! Agreed 100%.

    - said TP WONT be playing al 82 games (lots of rest)
    - Confirmed that they got lucky with Ray Macollum. By the end of RS there was a 10 min difference between him and CoJo. He thought Macollum ran better an offense.
    - David West was no influenced by anyone when leaving that amount of money on the table. Plus he confirmed his signing

feel free to add anything. I don't think I remember it all.
I still haven't heard RC make any reference to Boban.

No one would argue that, but RC didn't qualify his statement based on their respective salaries.
He did qualify it for the amount of time they've spent in the league, however.

I know, but I think that's pretty disingenuous given that Cory was two years younger in his second NBA season. I'll drop it because I know there was no malice with the statement, but I did find it out of character.

don't know if the interview was before signing Simmons, but (allowing for SL madness that overtakes everyone) he may push McCallum hard for the backup spot. He's a shooter, slasher and a good defender and knows the systems from playing in Austin and that gives him an edge.

McCallum is pretty much the third string point guard, while Simmons is more of a 2/3. As the roster is currently constructed, Simmons and Anderson would likely be fighting for minutes backing up Kawhi.

Wouldn't boban also get a doctor's check and all that? I guess the interest in the ruling stems from the fact that he's being paid cap space and so boban needs to sign before green, kawhi, west, etc.

I wouldn't expect that king of detail to be disclosed in a game broadcast

I don't know that I agree that it's disingenuous. McCallum stayed in college for two more years. Most experts thought Joseph was making a bad choice by leaving after a lukewarm freshman campaign. But like you said, there was no malice, and I agree. Trying to make comparisons is kind of difficult, but it was intended as an explanation of why he's such a good pickup with the departure of CJ. From RC's standpoint, he's looking at the comparisons by dollars and role more than age or experience.

Good point. Given the difference in their skillsets Pop might use them situationally.

Did you notice during the interview on TV how intensely R.C. Buford was watching the game? The interview was a background task for him, if you see that then you understand the man is a scouting machine. I didn't understand the brilliance of R.C. Buford until I saw that interview, his intensity when watching the game is amazing.

That is exactly what I noticed. R.C. always acts robotic in his interviews but he seemed focused like a laser when just observing the game. You can see why he's so brilliant at his job when you see his passion.

It somewhat reminded me of the John Malkovich interview (thanks to the STers who posted that). He too looked really focused on the game (though not like R.C.) and bored talking about himself. Malkovich even said he wished he could've been a GM. Of course his interview was ruined by Reggie drunk Miller. Least R.C. had Bones doing a solid job as usual.

    -Spurs will go 82-0
-Tim Duncan is actually the second coming of Jesus
-Enrique > Evita in terms of nicknames
This, except Tim is better than Jesus and Pop will send the entire team home against the Cavs on national TV night, and still win by 40.
