I don't understand why Kori's suggestion would be anything but practical. What do you do? How well do you know your reps? Mine know me. Probably not by first name, but they know me.
Boutons strikes me as the ever present internet er. The person who has crazy ideas of the people in politics and the way things work because they never get off their ass to do anything about it. They never see the way things actually work, so they continue with thier fantasy worlds that are so obvious to them but oh so crazy to anyone in the real world.

i dunno why people gotta be hating on bush... really, he's doing the best he can under the cir stances. alot of the isn't his fault, its just hes the president and so part of being the president is taking the blame when the hammer falls. Like in NO, do you really think it was on bush's prediction list? Sure, he was probably aware of the problems they would have if a category 4/5 hurricane hit, but it wasn't on the top of his agenda. Now, hes forced to take the blame and say we ed up. Okay. Leave it at that.
Actually he and the local government of NO both had 48 hours notice that the hurricane was coming. And it is common knowledge that NO lies below sea level and should any category of hurricane hit the city....the results would not be good.
So to answer your question, yes, it was partially on his "prediction list" and it should have been on the top of not only his agenda but also the local government's agenda.
