Kevin Durant, league MVP..... lets not pretend Kawhi could ever be the player Durant is . This doesn't mean we dont like Kawhi.
Apples and oranges to me. Kawhi is a great defender with a monstrous Finals run on his resume. KD is obviously an incredible player, but doesn't need to be talking smack about anyone less he wants to watch repeats of his only Finals run. This 'system player' rub is funny to me because it is a system and a team and the rub is always used by those whose team accomplishments are small.

I've never cared much about the players individual prowess if their team inevitably loses. Thought KD's stat padding in the league MVP race was obvious and telling. To me guys like Manu Ginobili have the perfect careers. Great success on every level.

Leonard is a better overall player. Durant is superb offensively but is insignificant on the defensive side. Durant's durability is questionable. Plus Durant has the me first team second mindset. Implying that comparing Leonard and Durant is laughable is itself laughable.

You people could not possible be this delusional. I don't even know how to respond to this because it is so unreasonable. Leonard isn't even ing close to the player Durant is ..........

Don't know what you mean by 'even close to the player.' If you mean individual player, I think anyone who doesn't recognize Durant's skills is indeed delusional. Time will tell how their careers go. Kevin could have climaxed already for instances, hope not. That Kawhi is just getting started and already has enjoyed much more success with his team is a fact.

I have my doubts as to whether Durant will ever regain form due to the Jones fracture.

Yeah I hope he can regain his form and have many years ahead of him. I'm a Spurs fan so he'll always be a pain in the ass for me.

I don't see any appealing max free agents on next years list, except maybe Mike Conley, assuming Parker doesn't return to all-star form.

Our holes are C and PG... any good ones that we could get for $21 million next year?

I'd still take Conley though if no great centers are available.

How do the non-homers manage to coexist with all of you koolaid drinkers?

Every fan base has people like this...... but this is a pretty extreme case, tbh. Just have to try not to let it bother you.

A Durant max contract would start at about $31 million.
We still have the amnesty clause from 2011 don't we? We could easily amnesty Porker and have that much room.

, Durant can be our PG as he's quick enough... he and Kawhi can take turns bringing the ball up when they're in the game... then you bring in Patty/McCollum/whoever off the bench, maybe Manu will come back for one more year, maybe he won't...

Spurs don't have anyone ellible to use the amnesty clause on from the last CBA agreement.

Really? I thought you can use it on ANY one player until the CBA runs out, then you get a new one. I didn't think that a renewed contract made after 2011 would invalidate the use of the amnesty clause. Correct me if I'm wrong?

Either way, would it be possible to trade Parker and a future second to a team with cap space needing a PG for say, a different future second and a bag of Doritos?

The contract would have to have been signed before the collective bargaining agreement In order for the player to be eligible for the amnesty provision for that CBA.

You're wrong in the first paragraph, and the trade is possible, save the chips.

KD gets to the foul line a million times a game and he shoots almost 90 percent. Definitely want. Also if he gets crowded in the paint, Danny and Kawhi get open threes all game or TD/LMA gets a dunk. Can't go wrong

You don't assume Enrique doesn't return to all-star form. That's a FACT and start to think that way because Tony's no Tim Duncan.

That's Tony Parker actually. KD has to do that in OKC: 1) Because Scott Brooks (who was fired) and 2) Because Westbrook. Ironically, you put KD in the Spurs' system and he will thrive magnificently. He probably will score a lot less points, but the easiness of his shots would be something insane.

Anyways, Kawhi would be the Shooting Guard w/ Durant playing at SF. Damn that's a pipe dream. TP, KL, KD, LMA, TD and Danny ing Green off the bench to back-up Kawhi. Damn.
